Week 48 - Ocean View Care Home 💚💛

Today I would like to dedicate my thoughts to our staff, our community who stood by Ocean View for the past 48 weeks in hope this day would never come.

Today we say farewell to our final 5 residents and close the doors of Ocean View as we know it.

The ultimate sacrifice was paid 13 residents lost their homes and 41 staff lost their jobs.

Ocean View was not just a care home it was a community of love centred in the heart of our rural community on the Di**le pennisula.

Today we leave with one wish, a wish for this community to be given back it’s beautiful care home in the future 🌅🫶🙏💚💛

Today was a special day, Meet Marcel who is an Embassador guide dog for Kerry and Zak who came to visit our resident’s.

An amazing therapy session was observed who instinctively knew what was required to lift spirits…

Special thanks Dr. Mary McCaffrey and Paul for such a special visit and for your kind commitment to maintain some vists in the coming weeks to support transitions
