Purrrrr-est Bliss…..🥰

Subjective I know.

Maybe not everyone’s idea of purest bliss being nap trapped by baby & kitty ☺️ but for sure is mine.

It’s taken the best part of 10 months for my furry baby Indy to really accept his baby sister but we turned a corner recently and it’s the most beautiful thing ever.

Indy has and continues to be the most loyal, loving, patient little companion to me for the past 10 years. He was obviously a bit peed off when little Nova arrived and stole his mama from him
😼😹so it’s the most heartwarming thing ever to see them finally gravitate towards each other.

My Dad taught me from a very young age to respect and love animals and nature. A lesson I’ve carried with me for my whole life. A lesson that seeps into every other aspect of life too. It gives me one full mama heart to be able to pass the same lesson on to our baby girl. She adores Indy and says “dat” “dat” “dat” first thing every morning when we wake. She has such a mature awareness when it comes to petting him now too - (not easy to teach tiny baby clency fists - but absolutely doable!!)

Time to reflect on another year gone by…..

I love this time of transition leading us from one year into the next….
A lovely opportunity to pause, untangle some thoughts and hold space to honour all we’ve been through, all we’ve learnt along the way & who we’ve become as a result.
It enables us to choose what we want to take with us into the New Year and/or leave behind what we feel no longer serves us ✨

Did you know that listening to birdsong instantly improves mood, positivity and mental alertness, reducing stress & anxiety by creating a sense of calm and uplifting to the soul.

Maybe it’s because in order to actually hear them you need to become a part of the silence?

I’ve always been obsessed with birdsong ever since I was a little girl and my Dad helped and encouraged me to listen and appreciate their beautiful tunes.

Such a simple life pleasure and doesn’t cost a thing.

It’s so important to cultivate and nurture our connection to Mother Nature.
Without her our senses and intuition become diminished, we lack clarity and have higher rates of physical and emotional illness….

Tips for connecting to nature wherever you are:
~ Spend time outdoors
~ Become silent
~ slow down breathing
~ notice sounds
~ observe colours
~ hug a tree!

There may be nothing but baby spam on here recently because - well, for obvious reasons 🥰
My yoga practice has changed SO MUCH for me since becoming a mama, it’s my time and space to connect even more so than ever before - it’s sacred, and in all honesty I don’t feel like sharing it too much at the moment. Who knew!🤷🏻‍♀️

Instagram has always just been a creative outlet for me, a space to share whatever I feel like sharing in the moment. A little online video/picture journal. I love being able to look back at a post and reflect on where (& who) I was emotionally/physically/spiritually. It’s amazing to see where life can take us. I’ve always been a free spirited nomad, always up to different things, utilising my creative skills in whatever way I can that aligns with who I am at the time. It’s definitely kept life interesting.
I believe human beings are born to evolve & stretch themselves in every direction, to experience and be different things & people - not just mould themselves neatly into a box (pardon the insta pun😉)
It’s all too easy to become one dimensional in this world. To be what others expect you to be, rather than expressing yourself as who you know to be true - which as human beings is constantly changing and evolving. It’s the only thing that’s true - change. Impermanence of everything. We only need to look at the seasons, to nature for proof of that🍃🍁🍂

Thankfully I don’t depend on Instagram for any sort of business or work. I’d be pretty screwed if that were the case. In fact we all would! Just look at what happened not long ago with the global outage situ! Am I the only one who really enjoyed that btw??😆

I’m sure I’ll read back on this a few months down the line and think “what was I rambling on about!”😂
I do love a good ramble of my random thoughts - so cathartic!

Anywho - for now I’ll stick around, sharing the most authentic version of life and hopefully bringing some positivity (and maybe even a little bit of inspiration) to anyone who’s interested
