Over the summer, the beautiful Mia crossed over the rainbow bridge. Her family shared this message 🧡

“On the 31st of July this year we took Mia to the vet as she had been panting a lot more than usual and was a bit off her food and to our shock she was diagnosed with a tumor that was affecting her organs so we made the difficult decision to let her go..she was 13 and a half and had a wonderful life with us.

When I rang Eamon he knew exactly who I was as I had dealt with him the last few years when my mam lost her dogs one after the other. Eamonn again met me at short notice with Mia and sat down and talked us through the whole process.

I was very upset and distraught over Mia's passing but knew she was in safe hands with Eamonn. She came home to us within a short time period in a beautiful casket with all the trimmings.

I'm very grateful to the care and compassion showed to us at this difficult time but would never go beyond Resting Pets as Eamonn and his team go above and beyond for their clients. Thank you again.”

From the very first phone call, the way you spoke about her by name and treated her with such dignity brought me comfort during the most difficult and heartbreaking time of my life.

The keepsakes you created for me - her paw print, the lock of her hair, and her ashes in the beautiful casket - mean more to me than words can express. They allow me to keep her close in such a special way, and I will treasure them forever.

This month, the beautiful little Lucy passed through our doors. Thank you to her family for sharing this feedback 🙏🏻

“Yesterday unfortunately we had to put our beloved Bishon Frise Lucy to sleep she was 9 years and 2 months old. She had Kidney failure and had been sick for a few months. It was a heartbreaking decision to make but she put up such a good fight and loved life. Lucy was an absolute princess and we all adored her so much.

Yesterday when I rang resting pets Pierce answered the phone and from that moment on I knew I had made the right decision to get Lucy cremated.

Pierce was so understanding and took care of everything. I dropped Lucy off and within a couple of hours she was ready to b collected.

Lucy was home with us last night where she belongs

Recently, the beautiful George passed through our doors. We cannot thank Stefanie enough for sharing her feedback with us. We first met Stefanie 3 years ago when her lovely Thandi crossed the rainbow bridge. Now George and Thandi are honoured together in memoriam 🙏🏻🤍

“When my lovely Thandi died in July 2022, I had her cremated at Resting Pets in Tramore. Eamonn was very understanding of my grief and I felt reassured that Thandi would be treated with care and respect.

I did not have to wait long for her ashes which, at my request were divided into a beautiful casket and a scattering tube. These were accompanied by a paw print and, in a blue velvet bag two little glass orbs filled with her ashes and a glass phial with her fur.

I was very happy with the professional and compassionate service given by Eamonn and thus I had no hesitation to have my beloved George cremated there in July 2025, aged 15.5 years old. He was given the same compassionate treatment as his buddy Thandi. and again my wishes regarding mementos were fufilled.

I fully recommend Resting Pets.”

It’s an honour to be able to share the stories of your beloved pets, so we thought we would reshare some of our favourite memories of our lovely Mason ♥️

Mason, for those new to our page, was an integral part of our family. A giant and gentle Great Dane, who would greet us each morning with the sounds of his huge paws echoing on the floor in our hallway.

He loved his daily visits to the beautiful beach in Tramore, and he certainly made himself known among the other pet owners at his favourite place. People who did not know our family name would identify us as the people who owned the huge dog!

When Mason crossed over the rainbow bridge, he left such a void around our home, something still felt deeply to this day. However we love to remember him and sharing our memories of him here.

“I cannot say enough about the service, care and understanding I got from both Pierce and Eamon at Resting Pets.

They helped us through one of the hardest times of our lives and understood how hard it was for us. Their compassion and their care says so much about them and their company.

When it came to letting our beautiful boy Paddy go they assured us he would be home with us soon and would be treated like one of their own, and he was. We got the most beautiful momentos of Paddy and his ashes that we will treasure forever.

Eamon, in particular, thank you from me and my family for everything you did to make it easier for us. I would highly recommend their service to anyone who needs it.”

Recently, the beautiful Shay passed through our doors. His family shared this message:

“It’s almost a month since we lost our beautiful big boy Shay. He was the life and soul of our house and we're just lost without him 💔

We wanted an individual cremation and after reading plenty of reviews I knew I wanted to choose Resting Pets.

After Shay was put to sleep, he spent his final night here with us. Pierce and Eamonn collected him the following morning and gave us a few minutes to say our last goodbyes. He was treated with kindess and dignity.

He was returned to us within a few days in a beautiful box. We also received a clay paw print and two little jars with his fur and ashes.

We'd like to thank Pierce and all the team at Resting Pets for providing such a wonder service.

“Hi All, I want to thank you for the recent cremation of my beautiful girl Quincey Mavis.

During one of the most difficult times resting pets were there to support me through the process step by step.

They were so help and great to deal with, from collecting my girl a the vets to returning her home to me where she belongs.

I felt very much at ease knowing she was the best care with Resting Pets. The small touches mean so much. I appreciate all you did. On behalf of the Late Quincey Mavis and I , thank you.”
