This day 4 weeks ago I gave birth to a lovely little boy. Please bear with me as my response times have became slower then normal as I adjust to life as a busy mum of 3 on little sleep 😅

Hi everyone,

Just a quick update — I’m currently in the final weeks of pregnancy, so I appreciate your patience as my response time may be a little slower than usual. That being said, I’m still working behind the scenes, responding to queries and referrals to the best of my current ability.

Do you have a child starting primary school this September and are worried about how they will cope socially? The lovely Yvonne will be running a play therapy group here over the summer, for children due to start, who may struggle with social skills or anxiety.

The group will be small and we currently have a few spaces left. Send us a message or email to register your interested, and Yvonne will be in touch when definite details of the group are confirmed

We're super excited to be welcoming some new therapists on board from June! We will be introducing them to you over the next couple of days.

Did you know that we have recently started offering parenting consultations? This is where we would have a parent meeting to discuss the issues you are facing with your child in their everyday life, and a parenting plan would be created within 2 weeks to offer support and strategies that could help to alleviate the issues. We would then have another meeting to go through the plan, and review it again in 2 weeks.

This is an example of a strategy that I recently implemented for my own 5 year old. After many stressful mornings of getting ready for preschool taking much longer then it needed to, I realised that perhaps the concept of 'getting ready' felt too big for her so she would easily get distracted. So i broke it down into an interactive chart that she could be in control of, and it would give her the prompts she needs to help to keep her focused on what she needs to do. I've been using it the past 2 weeks and it has been an absolute game changer in my house!
