🌸Weekly Quotes Dump🌸
Anyone who knows me personally or professionally knows how obsessed I am with poems, song lyrics, quotes - anything to do with words put nicely.
I always save quotes, words or affirmations that resonate with me to my stories and in folders/notes on my phone for further processing. So I've decided to share some that hit this week. Sometimes it's related to my life, sometimes it is relevant to my client work (which always remains confidential) and other times I'm just intrigued by them.
1. A personal favourite - my therapist told me something that stuck with me - "you did the best you could with the knowledge you had at the time" and I will always take that with me and gift it to my clients.
2. Live your life for you. Honour your own path, pace and process - Time to Bloom's tagline, which I'll probably make another post about soon🥰
3. Clients can struggle with setting boundaries with people in their life. Therapy can help by exploring your identity and values and staying true to your authentic self with others in your life.
4. Change blooms not from self-criticism or shame, but from the compassion we dare to offer ourselves.
5. Always, always, always honour the feeling. Action can help.
6. I absolutely love love 😍 Parents can lose themselves in parenthood. Children are watching and learning about what love should look like from you.
7. Grief and loss work is not just about death. It may be the loss of the life that could have been but wasn't e.g. a relationship that didn't work out, an opportunity you never got to experience, the loss of your healthy body after a medical diagnosis, the list goes on.
8. Love metaphors. Boundaries are healthy, not mean.
9. Love anything related to blooming, hence the name 😅
10. LOL, I used to be the mam who stressed about the playdoh mixing! Be a dare devil and join in on the mixing, it's great fun.
I love bringing words, music, affirmations and the likes into my work. It's all creative and I love when I read something and feeling like "wow I'm not alone" - and neither are you.
Can you relate to any of these?
