Winter solstice has brought so many rituals my way to release from the heaviness of the year past, to make room for the new light to lift my soul.
We all carry darkness, at times this is how we can enjoy and embrace the light. Being in the darker months reminds us to go deeper within, to reflect on the areas we need to grow and focus on. Whilst releasing what weโve grown out off, as we release, it is importance to honour those times in gratitude. These times may have challenged us however, they are, why we are, the way we are today! You may wish to write a letter about it, smudge it to release from it, burn it to allow it transmute all negativity that you may hold to it, then the smoke will bring it to its rightful place in the universe. I then focus on the energy I wish to welcome into my life, setting intentions in gratitude. I give thanks to all those who have walked this path before us, leaving their wisdom for us to learn, love and grow.
We have embraced the dormancy of life and we rejoice in Mother Earth coming back to a renewed life as we embrace this time of year with all its glory, embarking on what is ahead for us, I am in gratitude.
Yule was traditionally celebrated by lighting a candle or decorating trees with holly.
This morning I have light my candle, grounded my fresh coffee and I am allowing the energy to surface.
In this time allow yourself to sit, reflect, release and embrace. I hope you find your way of doing something meaningful this Winter Solstice.
Blessed Winter Solstice, Margaret ๐๐๐
