- Meet your Chartered Physiotherapist - Darragh Bolton - MSc, MISCP

Darragh Bolton is the owner of Ultimate Physio and a native of Tuam Co. Galway. He is a Chartered Physiotherapist graduating from University College Cork in 2020 and is also a qualified Strength & Conditioning specialist graduating from Limerick Institute of Technology, as part of his Strength & Conditioning qualification. Darragh completed 2 years of his training in Canada at Canadore College. His physiotherapy placements were all in HSE locations throughout Ireland, covering all areas of physiotherapy, including neurological, respiratory, orthopedic, cardiovascular, and musculoskeletal outpatient services. Over the last few years, Darragh has worked in some great clinics and gained great clinical experience but feels the time is right to bring his services to the people of his own town of Tuam Co. Galway.

Darragh specialises in musculoskeletal therapy (MSK) and sports injuries, utilising hands-on techniques, dry needling, and exercise therapy. He also has a broad scope in multiple areas of Physiotherapy, including experience in treating neurological conditions in paediatrics. He has worked with many different sports teams, both as a Physiotherapist and as a Strength & Conditioning coach. These include the Canadian Olympic Women’s Rugby Sevens team, Canadian Olympic rowing team, Galway Senior hurlers, Galway Minor footballers, and various club GAA and rugby teams. Darragh is currently the club physiotherapist for Tuam Stars GAA club. Darragh has also worked in gyms as a gym instructor, helping people achieve their fitness goals and tutored on a personal trainer course for a period.

Kayla who has played international rugby for Ireland & Connacht had a horrific injury over a year ago where she had a clean break of her distal tibia/fibula. 🤕

After two operations, a lot of Physio at Ultimate Physio , and a hell of a lot of determination, Kayla tomorrow will be returning to play with v Ulster Rugby.

I'd like to wish Kayla the very best in her future playing career.
