See you on the mat

HEAT IS THERAPEUTIC
Heat therapy has been used for centuries. When the body is heated, more blood vessels dilate, which promotes blood flow. Increased blood flow can aid in pain relief. Toxins can be flushed out of injured areas of the body allowing for better range of movement. It’s especially beneficial for lower back pain, muscle aches and pains.
THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN HOT PILATES AND GOOD BACK CARE.
Hot Pilates warms your muscles up from the get-go, it increases your flexibility and also reduces the risk of injury as the muscle is already well warmed up.
Pilates works the core specifically and deliberately. Especially some of the deeper core muscles that are impossible to see, but crucial to health and mobility.
A strong core also helps reduce back pain. When we have a weak core sometimes the lower back muscles can get tight and weak. To support the spine, we need to create strong healthy muscles around it to keep it exactly where it’s meant to be. And the core is one of the most important elements of this. This is not just about the abdominal muscles that run along the front of the stomach area, but the deeper more supportive muscles are also incredibly important. This is why full body movements using the core and all the muscles that support the spine, combined with lengthening the ligaments and tendons makes Hot Pilates so important and beneficial for spine health.
Hot Pilates combines a killer core workout with dynamic movements and body weight exercises. This keeps the heart rate up and it’s one of the best-known ways to burn a lot of calories both in class and for hours after. In this class I show 3 modifications of each exercise so that you can choose the right level for you. I cannot emprise that importance of choosing the right level for you for EACH exercise. You have got to listen to your body and respect what it is telling you. Fitness levels do NOT matter in this class, we are all made up differently. We are all short and tight in different parts of the body. We are all strong and weak in different parts of the body so therefore it is important that lengthen to short bits, strengthen the week bits. With each class we strive to find the right balance and improve our posture. Hot Pilates causes happy endorphins to rush through the body post class, causing a positive mindset that feeling good inside and out creates. Everyone that comes to class is there for different reasons and with individual goals. This makes the class all about you! It is a completely different type of fitness and listening to your own body and YOUR needs is so important. (which you will be reminded about in every class) Know why you are going to this class, so you can get the very best out of every class.
Remember this class is all about YOU!
