👂 What is tympanometry?

Tympanometry is a quick, painless test that checks how well your eardrum is moving and whether there may be fluid, pressure changes, or blockage in the middle ear.

During the test, a small soft tip is placed in your ear and gentle changes in air pressure are used to measure how your ear responds.

Tympanometry can help identify:
• Ear infections
• Fluid behind the eardrum
• Eustachian tube problems
• Perforated eardrums

It only takes a few minutes and can give us valuable information about your ear health.
