We are excited to welcome Dr Geoff Howes, MBChB (UCT), DipPEC (SA), PG Dip Palliative Medicine (UCT), MSc Pall Medicine (Glasgow), to the HearMed Medical Centre team in Tullamore.

Dr Howes is a general practitioner and palliative care specialist with diverse clinical, educational, and research experience. He brings to Tullamore a wealth of expertise spanning more than a decade of medical practice.

Alongside his clinical work, Dr Howes lectures part-time at the University of Cape Town and co-authored _A Handbook for Building a Remote Access Palliative Care Practice in South Africa: Enhancing Access to Palliative Care Using Virtual Solutions._

Dr Howes holds a Master of Science in Palliative Medicine (University of Glasgow, with distinction), where his research focused on improving care for vulnerable communities through healthcare worker education. He also holds diplomas in emergency medicine and palliative medicine.

From his new base at HearMed Medical Centre in Tullamore, Dr Howes will be offering a range of general practice services, including:

Dr. Leitch is a specialist family physician with extensive experience in both Ireland and South Africa, offering over a decade of broad clinical expertise. Her background includes:

✔️ Complex multidisciplinary care
