Tomorrow Saturday February 22nd Ballycommon take to the field Vs Ballinagar GAA in Ballycommon GAA. We will be raising funds for the Together For Fiadh campaign on the day. We are asking for as many people as possible to come down and support this very worthy cause.

Fiadh, age 5 from Kerry, was diagnosed with stage 4 high risk Neuroblastoma in October 2023. Neuroblastoma is a rare form of aggressive cancer that affects certain parts of the nervous system and circa 10 children are diagnosed in Ireland each year with the disease. Fiadh has had to undergo 18 months of gruelling treatment which included chemotherapy, surgery to remove the primary tumour, stem cell transplant, radiotherapy and is currently undergoing her final stage of treatment, immunotherapy.

Devastatingly, this cancer has a high rate of relapse and so the family have looked abroad for a maintenance treatment that is available in the US. This will help to reduce the risk of relapse and allow Fiadh to close this chapter of her life and move forward as the happy, loving little girl that she is.
