As a wound care nurse, here is one tool I would never be without......and you shouldn't either!

Adhesive removers can in spray and wipes ( both are great. I like the wipes because I can shove a few in my pocket and have them to hand when I need them.

We need to be proactive in protecting the periwound skin.
Adhesive removers and barriers products are the perfect combo for this.

Your patients will thank you🥰

Give your colleagues and the patient the best chance of healing that wound!

When I am asked to see patients, it is very difficult to support nursing staff and the patients themselves if there are no wound assessments or care plans documented 😭

I am basically starting from scratch again because I have no idea how the wound has behaved up to now....what has worked and what hasn't 🤷‍♀️

Most facilities have wound care charts and if you don't then document your assessment and care in your progress notes.

Communication and Continuity are key to effective wound management!

So please write it down 💜
