The death has occurred of May Farrelly, formerly of Crossdrum Oldcastle, Co Meath. May passed away peacefully in the exceptional care of the staff of The Sheelin Nursing Home on 25th April

Predeceased by her parents, Terence & Kathleen, sister in law Nora & Mary Teresa. Sadly missed by her brothers John, Charlie, and sister Kitty (Shane), nieces & nephews, extended family, friends and neighbours.

The family would like to sincerely thank Dr Anne Marie Gilsenan, the staff at The Sheelin Nursing Home for their exceptional care of May, former carer Sueanne Reilly, Fr. Ray & the Oldcastle community who looked out for May in her latter years.

Reposing at Oldcastle Parish Hall on Sunday, 26th April 2026 from 4pm to 6pm, with removal to St Oliver & Brigids Church Oldcastle, arriving at 7pm. Funeral Mass on Monday , 27th April 2026 at 11am followed by burial in adjoining cemetery.

The death has occurred peacefully of Charles John Glackin ,former Garda Sergeant Deerpark , Virginia, Co. Cavan and formerly Dungloe Co Donegal peacefully at Virginia Primary care centre surrounded by his loving family on 14 March 2026. Predeceased by his wife Mary and son Paul.

Charles will be sadly missed by his heartbroken family and friends. His son Joseph daughter Imelda sister Brigid Annie. Daughters in law, Grandchildren,Great grand children, nieces nephews relatives and friends.

Remains reposing at family home at Aras Mhuire Deerpark Virginia Co Cavan (a82vp21) from 1pm until prayers at 8 pm on 15 March. Removal to Mary Immaculate Church, Virginia arriving for 11 o’clock Funeral Mass on Monday 16 March, with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

The Glackin family would like to acknowledge their appreciation for the excellent care, given to their father by the staff and medical team of Virginia Primary care centre

The death has occurred of Thomas (Tom) Bernard Murphy (Uncle TB), Luganboy, Virginia, Co Cavan and formerly of The Queen Adelaide, Shepherds Bush, London.

Predeceased by his parents Catherine(Kitty) and Christopher.

Sadly missed by his loving sister Kathleen (Catherine) and brother in law Gerry Monaghan, niece Claire, nephew Gerald and his partner Beth, great nephews and nieces Michael, Rachel, Connie and Finn, his wonderful cousins, neighbours and many friends.

The death has occurred of Brian Farrelly, Croaghan, Virginia, Co. Cavan.

Brian passed away peacefully in St Joseph's Nursing Home following a short illness. Predeceased by his parents Thomas and Kate, his brothers Bill, Tom, Mattie, John, Hughie, Bob, Paddy and Joe, and his sisters Bridget (Hetherton), Rosie (Loonam) and Margaret (Feerick).

Brian will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his sister Ann Flynn (London), his nieces and nephews of the Hetherton, Farrelly, Feerick, Flynn and Loonam families, relatives, neighbours and friends

Sadly missed by her loving family and devoted neighbours, her brother Kevin and sister Una, sisters in law, especially Joanne in Dublin, nieces and nephews; Emma, Raymond and Gordon, in Dublin. Siobhan, Aoife, and Michael, in Galway. Kevin, Noel and Colm in Monaghan. Samantha and Michael in Canada, in laws Sandra, Julie and Ian, grandnieces, grandnephews, family and wide circle of friends.
