The death has occurred of Fr. Patrick Brady (Paddy), Cornaslieve, Virginia, Co. Cavan, peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, in the exceptional care of staff of Portiuncula Nursing Home, Multyfarnham, Co. Westmeath.

Late priest of the Diocese of Kilmore.

Pre-deceased by his parents Molly and Thomas, brother Leo, sisters May and Angela.

Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his sister Vera (Virginia), nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, Bishop Martin Hayes, Bishop-Emeritus Leo O’Reilly, brother priests, former parishioners, and his many good friends.

Fr. Paddy will repose at Matthews Funeral Home Bailieborough Road, Virginia (A82YV58) on Monday evening from 5 until removal to Mary Immaculate Church, Virginia, arriving for prayers at 7 o'clock.

Funeral Mass on Tuesday the 30th at 12 noon in Mary Immaculate Church, Virginia with burial afterwards in Drumkilly Cemetery.

The death has occurred of Albert Apfelstedt, Main Street, Virginia, County Cavan, and formerly of Hamburg, Germany, peacefully at Beaumont Hospital, Dublin, surrounded by his loving family, in his 89th year.

Predeceased by his beloved wife of 62 years, Veronica, his daughter Fionnula, his brother Gösta and his sister Christiane.

Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his son Axel - Kilian, his daughter Eilish, his sister Ortrun, his sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours, and friends.

The death has occurred of Michael Lee, Church Street, Oldcastle, County Meath, 13th of December, 2025 unexpectedly at Cavan General Hospital.

Pre-deceased by his wife, Ann.

Sadly missed by his daughter Juanita and his son, Vernon, his brothers and sisters; Tom (Drogheda), Martin (Clontyduffy) Noel, Norbert (UK), Mary (Virginia), and Carmel (Oldcastle), brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, his friend Dympna, nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Formerly of Aughacashel, Ballyjamesduff Co. Cavan,

Predeceased by his father Connie, mother Rosaleen and brother Phil.

Vincent will be missed by his loving sisters Rosaleen and Gabrielle, brothers Jimmy, Connie, Stephen, Raymond and David.
Brothers-in-law and Sisters-in-law. His beloved 22 Nephews and Nieces, Relatives, Neighbours and a Wide Circle of Friends.

Much loved wife of Tony, and cherished and adored mother of Jennifer and Mark (Dee).
