- Thicker skin. Sometimes you may mistake your mosaic verrucae's for callus.
- Pain/discomfort when walking or standing. Pain doesn't only occur when weight bearing, it can be when pressure is applied to either side of a verrucae.
- Small black dots appear in the verrucae. These are tiny blood vessels that have burst.

These are viral infections which are highly contagious and can spread very quickly. They are also known as warts. It can appear as a speckled area and grows rapidly.
We will ascertain the best possible treatment to prevent the spread of infection during a consultation. We may use a chemical therapy or Swift Microwave Therapy to help aid removal.
Swift Microwave Therapy uses microwave energy delivered through a special probe applied to the skin to treat the affected tissue. Microwaves are delivered for two seconds each time, this is repeated five times, during a session. Heat is generated in the verrucae via the microwaves. Precise, localised cell destruction is caused by the rapid increase of temperature in the tissues.
