By Appointment Only. WIGWORLD is owned and run by Joyce O’ Carroll who is a qualified hairdresser and Certified Wig Technician. Joyce offer’s the highest quality of human hair, fiber and custom made wigs, hair pieces that can integrated into thinning hair. Also headwear and turbans, aftercare & masking products and semi permanent make up. Joyce also offer’s a full service of wig fitting, professional styling, advice and aftercare to ensure that you are looked after throughout the entire process. She can personal each piece to make it so natural and suit you'r face shape. We cater for women, men and children of all ages, based in Waterford looking after clients all over the South And South East.

Working with kids is very special 💫

Today I had a 9 year old girl undergoing chemotherapy come to the studio . I always involve the child in picking her hair colour etc and ask if there’s any questions she may have .I have to say, I did get emotional she said I must really love my job 💜

Her wig is made from donated hair from the The Little Princess Trust. It is a work of act, fully handtied with a lace front the best of the best, so natural and she gets it free of charge.

I am totally switched off this holiday season. Meeting up with family and friends. Just going with the flow, lovely walks and enjoying the R&R and downtime that comes with it ✨

I was honoured to be asked by Breakthrough Cancer Research to be a part of this powerful exhibition. A must see at Stephens Green Shopping Centre Dublin.

🔬See real research projects . I was blown away with the amazing work researchers do.

👩🏻‍🔬There are powerful art installations , and interactive experience that bring science to life .

I learned so much and really enjoy taking the time to explore the whole exhibition .My take home for this exhibition is HOPE

Demand for blood has been rising consistently, and we need more donors to support patients who need transfusions.
About 67% of donated blood and platelets are used to treat cancer patients! Support people with cancer in Ireland by giving blood or platelets regularly.

Full day in the studio ✨

A bamboo liner is ideal for under a wig or headwear to absorb moisture and sweat. Thus keeping your head cool in this warm weather. It’s is important to wear a hat and not leave the sun directly on your scalp .

Joyce has her own hair loss experience of alopecia and wears a wig. She has also completed FETAC Level 5 Healthcare Support. At Wigworld we specialise in wigs and hair pieces for people with medical related hair loss due to Chemotherapy, Radiotherapy, Alopecia, Trichotillomania and Thinning Hair. We offer the highest quality bespoke real human hair wigs, synthetic wigs, custom made wigs and hair pieces that can be integrated into thinning hair. We also stock beautiful stylish headwear, turbans and quality aftercare products.

We offer a full service of one to one wig fitting, personalized cutting and styling of your wig or hair piece, advice and aftercare to ensure that you are looked after throughout the entire hair loss process. All this takes place in our private studio ensuring complete confidentiality. We are based in Waterford and look after clients all over the South And South East.
