I spend a lot of time on the road delivering the Gambling Addiction Workshops, and am away from home a lot during the year. It can be tough going sometimes, but receiving lovely emails like this make it all so worthwhile. Thank you Sarah and St. Joseph’s Patrician College ‘The Bish’ Galway for inviting me to speak to their senior cycle students this week.

It is always humbling to receive positive feedback following a school talk, especially from a parent. My aim in my workshop has always been to start conversations about gambling addiction as a mental health problem, and to create more awareness about this growing social issue.

Research analysed 3,625 deaths by probable su***de recorded by coroners between 2015 and 2020
