FLU VACCINE AND COVID BOOSTER INFO

Please book in your flu vaccine today by calling us on 051 870578.
Many patients are eligible for a free flu vaccine, if you meet certain criteria, please read the below information to see if you qualify.
You can get a free flu vaccine if you are:

~age 60 and older
~age 2 to 17
~a healthcare worker
~pregnant
~living in a nursing home or other long-term care facility
~in regular contact with pigs, poultry or waterfowl
~someone with a health condition that puts you at higher risk of flu (age 6 months and older)
~living with someone who has a health condition that puts them at higher risk of flu
~a carer for someone who has a health condition that puts them at higher risk of flu.

*If you don't meet the above criteria you can still pay for a private flu vaccine.

COVID-19 BOOSTER VACCINE INFO
Booster doses help boost your antibodies and give you good protection from becoming seriously ill or needing to go to hospital if you get COVID-19.

You will be offered a free booster dose in John's Hill if you are:

age 60 and older
age 18 to 59 living in a long-term care facility
age 12 to 59 years with a weak immune system
age 12 to 59 years with a condition that puts you at high risk of serious illness from COVID-19
a healthcare worker
pregnant - booster doses needed during pregnancy
If you're age 18 to 59 and not in one of the groups above, you can still request a vaccine. Talk to your GP about your reasons for wanting a booster.

You can get your COVID-19 booster and flu vaccine at the same time.

We are pleased to share some information about two 90 minute Community Talks offered by The Waterford Primary Care Child and Adolescent Psychology Service. Both talks are free and available to anyone who is interested – parents do not need to be on our Primary Care Psychology Waiting List.
