It’s not about speed, shortcuts, or having it all figured out.

It’s about putting one foot in front of the other, even when it’s hard, even when it gets uncomfortable.

Teaching Commitment and Core Values Through Challenge.

As parents, we know kids are naturally curious and drawn to the next “shiny” thing. Interests can change week to week, but part of our job is to guide them toward finishing what they start—to teach them the value of commitment, resilience, and seeing things through.

Noah and I are taking on the Festive 50 Challenge this holiday season: a 50-mile load-bearing hike! It’s not just about completing the miles. It’s about showing our kids that when you commit to something, you give it your all and finish strong.

Challenges like this build character, teach perseverance, and instill lifelong lessons that no shiny distraction can replace.

Lead by example and show your kids the power of going all in and finishing what you start! 💪🎄

Fat loss doesn't have to be the goal, I believe overall health should be the priority - but the two go hand in hand and one is often a by product of the other.

If your goal is to lean out, here are 10 things to consider.

If you're already at this level, excellent, focus on maintaining this.

1) More Water
2) More Sleep
3) More Veg
4) More Protein
5) Walk Daily
6) Less Kcals
7) Strength Train & DO Cardio
8) Less 'Junk Food"
9) More Nutrient Dense Food
10) Patience

For most males, 10-12% for women 20-23% . Body Fat levels is an attainable level to reach and maintain all year round. At this level you'll be able to still enjoy life without any extreme levels of dieting.

If you're consistently ticking the boxes above you should be well on your way to a leaner, healthier you.

Getting out of shape wasn't an overnight process, and the road back to fitness won't be either. Focus on the basic fundamentals: nourish your body with the right food, prioritize quality sleep, add in some strength training and for the love of god be sure to tack on cardio and mobility.

If you're eager to make a change, that's fantastic. But there's no need to stress about massive transformations today. Think of this as a lifelong game, a marathon spanning the next 40 years. The journey to fitness is just a fraction, around 10%, of your entire life.

Invest the time now to lay a strong foundation for lasting success. Imagine actively enjoying the remaining 90% of your life. It's about making gradual, sustainable changes, so you don't find yourself constantly 'coming back' from setbacks.

Reclaiming My Health: From Long Covid Symptoms to Vibrant Living - My Journey with Gan Power"

The doctor said that all my symptoms pointed towards Long Covid, but I had these symptoms long before Covid. I was a 49 year old non-smoker and I couldn’t walk a flight of stairs without having to stop and catch my breath.
My joints ached most of the time and I rarely left the house without a packet of headache tablets and indigestion tablets. Along with a sleep pattern of about 4 hours per night, this was my quality of life for so many years.

I came to accept it as normal, just getting older. Then, in October 2022, I read a LinkedIn post by a local Personal Trainer. He said that feeling this way was far from normal and most of these common symptoms were the result of poor diet and a lack of targeted exercise.
I made contact with him and he suggested a 12 week programme of corrective eating, cardio exercise and strength training.

Within 4 weeks I started to feel an increase in energy. By the end of the 12 weeks the joint pain, headaches and heartburn had completely disappeared. Weight loss was significant and I was getting much more rested slept each night.

By the end of an extended 3 month programme I lost a total of 4 stone (25kg) and the increase in energy was incredible. I finally started to feel my age again.
My trainer was Gan Power. He guided me through every step of the process. He communicated with me every single day and tailored a food programme specific to my likes and dislikes.

It was not a diet!

It was a reeducation with one simple rule: “if it came out of a wrapper or a box - don’t eat it . In other words, avoid or limit processed foods most of them time.
I learnt to make positive food choices, to prepare and eat quality ingredients and to make time every day for targeted exercise.Gan helped me to understand that this was the foundation to improving my health and ensuring a better quality of life.

If anyone reading this can relate to any of these comments, my encouragement is this:
Take the first step. Make contact with Gan. Spend 30 minutes talking with him. If you decide to proceed further, trust him and trust the system. It works. Commit to it and it will be the best investment you every made. It certainly was for me.

So if you find yourself training almost everydayor feel like you are working your ass off. I would look to the WORK you are actually doing.Then make a plan of action accordingly.

Stop spinning your wheels.

You need to force change..Muscle growth is a product of what you do in the gym & then allowing enough recovery for it.
That's where change happens, in recovery.
but your stimulus from your training in the gym needs to be enough.

You don't want to annihilate your muscles doing to much can be whats holding you back.

You don't need to spend 2-3 hours in the gym to make progress either.

You want to have a life outside of the gym.

Rest, recovery and nutrition is what you do OUTSIDE of the gym matters a whole lot more.

The quality and intensity of your reps is far more important than how much you do or how hard you feel you worked.Your body will not respond the way you think it will.

While achieving a fit and healthy body can be a motivating factor for many people, the benefits extend far beyond what meets the eye.

Taking up some regular exercise and adopting a healthy lifestyle can significantly improve your mood and mental health. For example when you lose weight and smile at the reflection in the mirror instead of grimacing, you’re in a better mood.

Transforming your body and achieving your fitness goals can boost your self-confidence and improve your self-esteem. When you feel good about your physical appearance and witness the progress you've made, this increases confidence which will translate into various areas of life, such as career, relationships, and personal goals.

This surge in energy can improve skyrocket your productivity throughout the day and you will find daily challenges and tasks a lot easier to tackle especially running around after younger kids 😂

To have more confidence, more energy and be more productive, who doesn’t want more of that?
