•Pilates will help you build the deep abdominal muscles and pelvic floor to create a stable torso which is essential for every day activities and more efficient athletic performance.
• Mat pilates will also help you build correct movement habits improving posture which will reduce pressure and tension on the spine and joints so we can move more freely.
• Slow and controlled movements will also help lengthen tight muscles and create flexibility and joint mobility.
• Finally let’s not forget about fall and injury prevention . By strengthening the deep , stabilising muscles and creating better movement patterns pilates can help avoid the risk of injury and falling…. This wonderful method was created for rehabilitation and to learn how to take care of our bodies to stay pain free and move with ease 😊🌸. And it’s never too late to start.

Hi everyone. I’m planning to add another zoom class to the usual timetable which would be a 40 -45 minute class focusing on something different every week ( eg; glutes & legs, upper body, core or sport specific for runners, golfers etc..) to give you the opportunity to do something different or catch up on some pilates if you missed a class during the week 🧘‍♀️. Why should we do Pilates? Because it’s a wonderful method and may I also add it’s an absolute game changer. We not only improve posture but we also build strength and create strong muscles from the inside out which results in a body that is stable and powerful💯. We can only achieve true stability when we move with control and focus on strengthening the smaller, deeper muscles not just the larger ones. Without stability there’s no power and force. When we work and build those smaller muscles properly they allow the bigger muscles to engage more efficiently so we can generate powerful movements safely. If you want to perform your daily activities and exercise with more power while maintaining balance then pilates is your answer.

Hi everyone. Just a reminder that our new class is starting next Wednesday ( the 11th September) at 11.20 in the parish hall in Cappoquin . ~Self-care~ One of the hardest things nowadays is to find time for ourselves. We almost feel bad and guilty when we slow down and just enjoy the moment. One of the reasons why i love pilates is because it makes me be present, grounded and helps refocus my mind. In my own practice I often go back to the very basics and allow myself to slow down and remind my body why moving well is so important and also how rewarding it is. We are always in a rush to get things done and quickly move beyond the basics while we get complacent in the process. Pilates is not a race, the most important part is not the destination but the journey itself. Allow yourself to learn and progress in your own time. Don’t shy away from revisiting the basics or being a beginner, there’s always something magical about learning something new and learning it well. 😊⭐️

Why should we do Pilates? The answer is simple: so that we can do everything else better 😊. In pilates we focus on building a strong torso by strengthening deep muscles ( ie. the core and all the smaller muscles in the body) to keep the pelvis and shoulder girdle stable. Every movement comes from the torso so without stability we simply cannot generate powerful movements or exercise safely. In pilates we not only learn how to perform each exercise correctly but also how to connect with our body and become a better mover. However, in order to benefit from this method learning the basics well is vital. Allow yourself to be a beginner and enjoy the journey , keep learning and reap the benefits. Your body will thank you for it. Embrace the freedom of movement through Pilates for an active life. 🏃‍♀️‍➡️💪. Hi everyone 🤩. After years away from my page i finally managed to recover/restart it again. Apologies to everyone who messaged me here , i couldn’t retrieve any of my messages until now. On a more exciting note i also would like to announce that in addition to the existing classes there will be a new pilates class starting in September ( it’ll be a Monday or Wednesday mid morning class) 🥳😊. This class will be a more gentle flow session suitable for beginners or those returning to pilates after a break in their routine. More details are coming up so please stay tuned ☺️. Please note all my classes are held in Cappoquin, if you’re interested in the new class please message me on 086 4041056 😊. Hope to see some new faces very soon. Thanks everyone 💖
