I hope you had a fabulous Christmas with family and friends and now it’s time for the New Year’s resolutions 🤣🤣🤣
This week’s podcast / lesson of the week comes from Dr Joe Dispenza and his powerful reminder that New Year’s resolutions are not just wishes, they are a strategy, a plan, and a daily practice.
Dr. Joe reminds us that lasting change does not happen by hoping harder, it happens by becoming intentional and consistent, even when motivation dips. Real transformation is created when we decide who we want to be and then practise showing up as that person every day.
Here are five key points Joe Dispenza teaches about setting goals that actually stick:
1️⃣ Find your purpose
Your goal needs meaning. When it is connected to something bigger than willpower, your brain and body are more willing to follow.
2️⃣ Set achievable goals
Small, realistic steps build confidence and momentum. Consistency beats intensity every time.
3️⃣ Align with your future self
Think, feel, and act as the person you want to become. This is how new neural pathways are created.
4️⃣ Focus on the effort, not perfection
Celebrate showing up. Progress happens through repetition, not perfection.
5️⃣ Reflect and recommit regularly
Goals are not set once, they are revisited, refined, and re energised.
Dr. Joe also speaks very clearly about something many people underestimate, success increases when we do this in community or with the support of a coach. Change is much easier when your nervous system feels safe, supported, and encouraged rather than judged or pressured.
