Once we descend into the darkness of grief and stay there for a while, it can begin to feel more comfortable -safer even- to stay there rather than choose to try to return to the Light.
It also has a strange way of feeling as though it keeps us more connected to our lost loved ones. We can begin to fear that if we leave our hole, we are somehow leaving behind our loved one. But the problem is we NEED the Light to feel our best, mentally, physically, and emotionally, and we need the Light to heal... to begin to find new ways to connect with the love of our loved one... the love that's still here! The darkness is a place to visit... to learn, to heal, to forgive... but it is not a place to stay, for life is always calling out to us with more living and loving and growing to be done. 💗💫🌟✨
