I want to talk about a
Crisis of Faith . OR.,…
A Silence of connection…..
We’ve all been there … here…. We don’t talk about it.
You know me enough to know I am not talking about religion. I’m also not invalidating your religious beliefs.
I want to talk about those moments, days, weeks, years where we question our connections to our world, our family or friends, ourselves…. Our Spiritual Connection.
We know we haven’t lost everything because we still feel, we still weep at a song, a poem a movie , a bird singing…..
Yet we wonder because the loud expression of our connection is … well quiet. In all honesty it is inevitable. It is meant to happen.
This crisis of faith, our seemed disconnection to Spirit happens exactly when we must see things differently. We have to see an end to how we were, we have to feel that estrangement, we have to be driven deeper.
It is in the deepness that the spark of creativity springs. It is within the void that the answers we seek are found. It is in the wisdom of ourselves and the ancient knowledge of our ancestors that if we listen solutions that feed the soul are revealed.
Sometimes… sometimes… when we are honest with ourselves we know we … yes we have built a strong foundation for us to thrive. We do have connections. In those moments of a crisis of faith, a silence of spirit, a moment of why look at the image in the mirror and see them as a resilient person who has felt surprised, disconnected, a part of it all, love, sadness, joy, freedom and apprehension and is still seeking.
Build that fire, figuratively or real, and burn that crisis of faith, those thoughts that hold you back, that silence of spirit, those messages that have held you back… anything and everything… burn it into ashes.
As you wander through my words, my thoughts, remember to move forward we have to come into and embrace community as the saving grace.
The only reason you don’t feel like you belong is because we have never been able to fully experience a communal connection. We’re getting there…..
