There’s something powerful about being witnessed by those who truly understand this work... the beauty, the ache, and everything in between. 💖

Our Doula Circle - Rooted in Heart was created for doulas who are craving that kind of space. A space to pause, reflect, and reconnect with why they began. 💫

I'll be sending out your emails tomorrow. Make sure you're on my list for more information. 🥰

What would it feel like to be held the way you hold others?

To have a space to breathe, debrief, and come back to yourself?

You don’t need to carry this work alone.
There’s space for you here; soft, strong, and rooted in heart. 💞

This is the beginning of something for the doulas and birth workers who give so much.

If your heart or your head is nodding "yes", let me know ...

| Why are we in such a rush?

As pregnancy nears its end, something shifts.

Suddenly everyone has a tip or trick to “get things going.”
“You must be so tired now.”
“Try raspberry leaf tea!”
“Eat dates, hot curries, have acupuncture, it worked for my cousin!”

There’s this not so quiet agenda to hurry nature along.
To evict babies before they’re ready.
To push a body that’s already doing something miraculous to do it faster.

But what if we didn’t?
💫What if we stopped asking how tired someone must be feeling?
💫What if we stopped offering ways to speed things up?
💫What if we simply trusted that body, that baby, that timing?

What if we let people savour these last days,
the quiet moments of connection,
the gentle rolls and kicks,
the knowing that this chapter is closing and a new one is about to begin.

Pregnancy isn’t something to rush through.
It’s something to experience.

And sometimes, the most supportive thing we can do is to let someone simply be.

✨ Tell me, how did you feel in those final weeks of pregnancy? Were you able to slow down, or did you feel the pressure to get things moving?

Running a marathon and giving birth might seem worlds apart… but they have more in common than you’d think.

🪷Both require preparation, mindset, endurance, and surrender!!!!
🪷Both push you to your physical and emotional limits (and beyond).
🪷Both demand trust in your body, your breath, and your ability to keep going when every part of you wants to stop.

The difference?
In a marathon, you can see the finish line.
In labour, you have to believe in it because you don't how far away it is.

And yet, both lead to the same thing: TRANSFORMATION.

You don’t finish a marathon as the same person who started.
You don’t emerge from birth unchanged.

Birth is the ultimate endurance event... not one of pain. One of power, resilience, and surrender.

If you’re preparing for birth, remember: you don’t need to train harder but you do need to trust deeper. 💞

If you’d like to prepare your mind and mindset for labour and birth, I have space for 2x private workshops in late November. My workshops are proven to help you feel calm, confident, and ready for whatever your journey brings.

Send me a DM for more details. 🫶🏻

| I saw this today and thought ...

I saw this broken tree stump covered in moss and a fragile eggshell today and thought… this is what healing looks like.

Holding space for what’s been cracked, while new life slowly takes root.

Just like us in postpartum — tender, transforming, whole in our own time.

Each of us carries our own unique story, not to be rushed, not to be compared — only honored for the journey it is. 💞

| Where do we go from here? ✨

When birth choices are taken away, it can feel like the ground has shifted beneath us.
But change, and hope, are still possible.

Here’s what we can do right now:
💞 Stay informed - Know your rights, your options, and where to find evidence-based information.
💞 Share your story - Lived experiences matter. They shape policy, awareness, and change.
💞 Connect with others - Join birth advocacy groups, local networks, and supportive communities.
💞 Ask questions - In every setting, make sure your voice is heard and your needs are respected.
💞 Support midwives and birth workers - Their experience and knowledge are essential to keeping choices alive.

The road ahead may feel uncertain, but we are stronger together.

Every conversation, every letter, every shared story keeps the vision of safe, respectful, choice-filled birth alive.

Your voice matters more than ever. 💞

| Told to "smile like a girl"? Here's what I think ...

This morning I overheard a mom telling her daughter to “smile like a girl” for a photo.
It stuck with me.

How does one smile like a girl? What does that even mean?

And before anyone comes at me — this isn’t about shaming that mom. It’s about noticing how deep these unspoken rules run.

From the moment we’re little, we get handed a list:
✨ Dress like a girl.
✨ Walk like a girl.
✨ Talk like a girl.
✨ Sit like a girl.
✨ Smile like a girl.

But then we also hear:
💬 “You run like a girl.”
💬 “You throw like a girl.”
💬 “You fight like a girl.”

Suddenly, “like a girl” becomes something small. Something weak. Something to grow out of.

And it’s a load of sh*te, honestly.

Because girls can be loud.
Girls can be messy.
Girls can be brilliant.
Girls can be fierce.
Girls can be whoever and whatever they want to be.

So here’s my challenge to you:
Think back — what “rules” did you get told about being a girl?
Which ones have you broken?
Which ones are you teaching the next generation to throw out entirely?

Share in the comments or in your stories and tag me — let’s make “like a girl” mean limitless. 💪
