🎄✨ A Lovely Afternoon of Music & Christmas Cheer ✨🎄

Our residents thoroughly enjoyed a beautiful afternoon yesterday filled with song and festive spirit. We were delighted to welcome the Bridge Choir along with the International Choir, who sang the most wonderful Christmas carols for our residents.

The joy, smiles, and sing-alongs truly made it a special occasion for everyone involved. 🎶❤️

A heartfelt thank you to both choirs for sharing your time, talent, and Christmas magic with us — it was very much appreciated by all. 🌟

🎄💪 Festive Fitness Fun! 💪🎄

Our residents had a wonderful fitness fun morning, Christmas style, with our fantastic physio Catherine 🎅🎶
There was plenty of movement, laughter, and festive cheer, and a great morning was truly had by all!

A big thank you to Catherine for making exercise so enjoyable and for spreading the Christmas spirit 🎄✨

📣 Lost Dog – Found at Castlebridge Manor Nursing Home 🐶💛

This friendly dog arrived at our nursing home today seeking shelter from the storm. He is safe, warm, and being well cared for by our staff.

If anyone in the local area is missing their dog, please get in touch with us here at Castlebridge Manor. We would love to reunite this sweet pup with their owner.

🎅 A Magical Bingo Surprise! 🎉

Last week during our bingo afternoon, we had the most wonderful surprise — a special visit from Santa himself! ❤️✨

Our residents were absolutely delighted as Santa spread festive cheer, shared smiles, and brought a little Christmas magic to the room. There were laughs, warm moments, and even a few lucky bingo wins! 😉🎄

Thank you Santa for making the day so special — the sparkle in everyone’s eyes said it all.
Here’s to more joyful moments this Christmas season! 🌟

🌼 DAISY Awards 2025 – Our First Celebration! 🌼

On Wednesday, 3rd of December we proudly celebrated our first DAISY Awards for 2025 — a special recognition programme that honours nurse staff who go above and beyond with compassion, care and kindness.

We had three wonderful nominees this year: Sujeesh, Athirimol and Caitlin. A big well done and congratulations to all for your hard work and dedication. Each one truly deserved recognition, but there could only be one winner.

It was a magical day celebrating our staff, and even our resident cat Kevin dressed for the occasion in his gold bow, looking every bit the star of the show. 🐱💛

✨ Hello December! ✨

As we step into a brand new month, we’re delighted to share our December Newsletter with you all. From festive preparations to cosy winter moments, there’s so much to look forward to in the weeks ahead.

We also want to take a special moment to celebrate our Artist of the Month for November — the incredibly talented James. 🎨✨
James has been painting for many, many years, and we are truly grateful that he continues to share his passion with us. His dedication shines through every masterpiece he creates, and as you can see from the photos, his talent is simply outstanding.

James, thank you for bringing such beauty, colour, and creativity into our home. 💛

✨ Remembrance Mass at Our Home ✨

Today, we gathered together for a very special Remembrance Mass with Fr. Kelly. Our residents had the chance to honour and remember their loved ones, as well as offer prayers for our own faithful departed residents from the past year.

We took time to reflect on precious memories, share special moments, say a prayer, and hold each of them close in our hearts. 💛

In their honour, we also created a Remembrance Christmas Tree in our reception area — a beautiful tribute to the residents who have passed this year. Their memory lives on with us every day.

They were never just residents… they were family.
And this is not just a nursing home… this is our home. ❤️

Forever remembered, forever loved. 🕊️✨

🎄✨ It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas! ✨🎄

Today at the nursing home we added the final touches to our festive décor — including our gorgeous big Christmas tree that’s now standing proudly in the foyer and filling the place with Christmas cheer! 🎅🌟

Our residents also enjoyed a lovely afternoon of arts and crafts, painting their very own Christmas trees and getting creative with colours and glitter. 🎨💚❤️

The smiles, laughter and festive spirit are truly in full swing here.

📣 Our Activities Team Has Taken on the Challenge! 💪🎀

For the month of November, our Activities Warriors have signed up to take part in the 50 Squat Challenge in support of Breast Cancer Ireland.

We’re officially halfway through, the legs are burning 😅 but the motivation is strong — and we’re doing it for an amazing cause that touches so many lives.

We would be so grateful for any support, big or small. Every donation truly makes a difference and helps fund life-saving research and awareness. 💗
