WHEN THE ROAD GETS ROCKY
I remember when I was first studying Kinesiology one of my lectures told this story explaining how we can feel “stuck” – it struck me at the time and still today.
“...You are in a jeep driving along, it starts off smooth and you can see the road ahead clearly. As you drive along the road gets rough, bumpy, windy, steeper, there’s an incline, your now going uphill, the weather changes, there is rain, floods, mudslides, and in all the turmoil in a split second the jeep goes off the road. You’re stuck in a ditch. You’re rev-ving the engine to propel forward, to get back on the road, but the wheels are spinning in the mud and you are going nowhere. The more you rev the engine the more the wheels spin and sink deeper down into the mud. What to do?
Stop.
Put it in reverse, drive backwards first, then proceed forward.
In life when we meet challenges or are stopped on our path, sometimes we need to take that step backwards in order to go forward . We can be stopped by health issues, circumstances, situations, leaving us feeling “stuck” or “off track”.
If you are feeling stuck, my door is always open at Anchor Therapy Room, Kilrane, Rosslare Road, Wexford. A safe place to let go of worries, stresses and allow in healing, rest and rejuvenation.
As a kinesiologist I work with the bodies own energies clearing the way in order to move forward. Finding the root cause. Bringing you to a place of harmony, health and resilience.
