It is perhaps the most powerful and fastest way to bring peace, strengthen and balance the mind and expand consciousness. The Sanskrit word j*pa comes from the root j*p-, meaning "to utter in a low voice or repeat internally". Japa yoga brings the mind, body and soul into balance internally and ultimately brings us into harmony with people around us and life's happenings and events. Many people find it difficult to sit for meditation as the mind becomes agitated when thoughts of frustration, anger or things we have been suppressing and avoiding come up. Reciting mantras focuses the mind and dissolves fears and frustrations. Through releasing past hurts and seeing their lives and the world differently, practitioners change how they think and behave and free up space for new and better things to come. Meditation helps people change their inner and very quickly their outer world. The process is simple. With practice comes awareness, insights, realisations and ultimately transformation. It is the same formula and process for all. The practice is both relaxing and insightful. Because it works, Japa Mantra Meditation has a growing following all over Ireland and a very vibrant following in Wexford in particular. We have classes near Wexford Town (Rocklands) on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings for introductory, advanced and intermediate groups.
