This is the season of giving and receiving. Oftentimes, we are geared up to give and make sure everyone has a great time and that no-one is left out. Oftentimes this involves spending big amounts – of time, efforts, and of course of money. But today, stop and give yourself a gift –whatever you fancy. This could be some quiet time that you keep to yourself during the day (to meditate or read a book, or whatever…) or even something that you have been longing for. Give this gift to yourself – because we all deserve it!

One technique that I teach my clients is to improve their standards. It is a simple technique but it will really boost your mood and your self-esteem. Simply look at things you do every day, every week. Are there some tasks that you do that you could do better? Maybe it is, like me a few years ago, to get on time to pick up my kids from the school bus. Decide on one thing that you commit to improve. Commit yourself to do it for 7 days and see how it makes you feel and then see if you can keep at it for good

#146 Thursday’s Tap2Heal Tip – Today look back at the past!
Sometimes, when we are busy (or not busy at all) we can kinda of lose track of time. The weeks go into months and soon the past 6 months have past and we don’t know what happened. Today my tip is to ‘stop & reflect’. Take the time today, the time of a cuppa maybe, to look back at last week, at 2 weeks ago, at last month, etc. Look at what you were up to (if you can remember), how you were feeling (your joys & your fears…) And see the path you have walked since then, the progress you have made, your achievements. And if there are still things that need your attention, make a list. Taking the time to look back sometimes gives us a great push to carry on forward!

#145 Thursday’s Tap2Heal Tip – Another Day – Wednesday is ‘Working’ Day!
Well, Wednesday is for most of us ‘middle of the week day’. This can be a difficult, long, boring, dull day for some… But most often, by the time Wednesday comes, our brain is fully into gear and we are no longer in/not yet into weekend mode. Personally, I find Wednesday is the ideal day to ‘act’, to put into motion our ideas, intensions, resolutions, whatever theme we have for the week. By putting the extra effort in your Wednedays, it does put some king of structure to your working week. If you practice this for a few weeks, you might find that by the time your Thursdays come, you should have ticked a few items on your ‘weekly todo list’ and that feeling can be really empowering. So why not give it a go – work at your Wednesdays 

Your brain is not meant to memorize everything ! In fact, we tend to forget a lot of things, and this is true no matter our age. This can be frustrated at times. One way round this is to have a little ‘Black’ book. Apparently, Richard Branson carries a little book with him at all time. In it, he writes things that come to his mind and that he might want to look at in more details at a later stage – so that he does not forget. I think this is a great thing to have ! #143 Thursday’s Tap2Heal Tip - Get some Sun !
In the same spirit of my previous ‘DAY’ tips – I am making ‘Sundays’ my ‘SUN DAY’.
I guess we all know by now that getting some day light is good for our minds (of course, for some of us, too much sun can be dangerous so don’t forget the suncream !). So I am making Sunday my ‘sun’ day. The idea is to do at least one activity outdoors every Sunday. This can be gardening, going for a walk, sport of any kind - Does reading the Sunday paper in the sun with a nice cuppa count as a sport?... In my book : YES  So you get the idea. So don’t be afraid of posting your outdoor activities in the comments.

#142 Thursday’s Tap2Heal Tip Get grounded !
As we seem to be constantly bombarded with ever alarming news these days, I feel it is important to get grounded. Being grounded, for me, means to come back in the ‘NOW’ and get back into your power. When you are grounded you relie on your inner resources (for your mood, your mind-set) rather than be at the merci of external (often ‘negative’) influences. So, here are 2 easy ways of getting grounded : First, take a deep breath in and as you exhale, visualize (in whatever color suits you) the energy going down your body, through your feet and as deep into the ground as you would like to go (repeat a couple of times). The 2nd easy way to ground yourself is simply to stand up and tap your feet on the ground while taking deep breaths – do this for about 1 minute. Simple !

This is typically the end of my working week (except for my French classes which are mostly at the weekend), so I like to de-stress. So here is an 'extra' tip: up your intake of water! Most of us (me included) don't drink enough water. So stop being on social media for a minute and go and get yourself a large drink of water 🙂

Hello, My name is Véronique Rooney and I am an Energy Practitioner and I help people who are ready for change and who have been struggling for too long with hidden anxiety, depression, stress, fears, as well as aches & pains, bring back confidence, joy, health & happiness into their life. I do so by teaching them easy & fun healing tools & techniques that they can use to implement healthy changes so they can finally live the life they know they are meant for. In my healing practice, Tap2Heal, I create a safe & confidential, holistic healing environment which includes one to one healing appointments, holistic workshops, mind & body classes & motivational talks. I have found that so many hard working skilled women & men struggle to balance their personal, public & professional personas. Feeling overwhelmed for too long, they end up secretly suffering from anxiety, stress, lack of confidence and depression. Many even start experiencing recurring physical aches & pains. My holistic healing packages are specially tailored to carter for my clients’ specific needs. My sessions are non-judgmental, non-invasive, yet powerful & efficient. I teach my clients new practical & fun tools, as well as holistic skills that enable them to regain their confidence and finally make the lasting changes they need to live a healthier & happier life.
