We could not be prouder of our very own Clíona O’Leary, who represented Wexford with such grace at this year’s Rose of Tralee Festival.
Clíona has been a pillar within Wexford Macra for many years, holding various committee positions with her club Kilmuckridge Macra, as well as the County Committee. She currently represents us as National Council Representative sitting on the National Competitions Committee, and plays a key role in the county as Recruitment Officer, helping to grow and strengthen our organisation across Wexford.
Clíona is not only a valued member but also a great leader, consistently representing Wexford Macra to the highest standard. Her commitment and drive inspire those around her, both within her club and throughout the county.
On stage in Tralee, Clíona’s rendition of Boolavogue was a truly special moment. It touched those of us from Wexford, but also audiences far beyond – a beautiful reminder of the history and heritage of her hometown.
Alongside her dedication to Macra, Clíona is pursuing a BSc in Sustainable Farm Management and Agribusiness, reflecting her deep commitment to the future of Irish farming and rural communities.
From Kilmuckridge to the national stage, Clíona embodied everything that makes Macra and Wexford proud – we were delighted to have her represent Wexford and to support her in her journey as Wexford Rose.
Well done Clíona.
Also congratulations to Laois Rose and fellow Macra member, Katelyn Cummins, who was crowned 2025 Rose of Tralee 🌹
