It feels like the end of an era, but I have decided to close the clinic. This is due to other work and life commitments and not being able to give the clinic the time it needs to operate at the level I want it to.

I would like to say a wholehearted thank you to all of my customers, colleagues and anyone else who came through the doors. I started the clinic almost 6 years ago now and in that time I have always strived to provide a quality service, which also delivers great value to the customer.

Finally, I would like to say a massive thank you to Olly Gogarty, who has been a business partner, mentor, and most importantly, a fantastic friend, an absolute gentleman Olly. Thank you.

Wishing you all the best! 💪🏼

Ben.

Physical Activity and Sedentary Behaviour guidelines: Adults aged 18-64 years old.

Recently the HSE and the Department of Health launched the national physical and sedentary behaviour guidelines which brings Ireland into line with the WHO recommendations on physical activity.

This post is focused on some of the physical activity guidelines for adults.

There are 101 ways to be physically active, the main take home point for me is to find something you enjoy!

Ben Hunt BSc, MSc, ARTC

Ben graduated with a BSc (Hons) degree in Sports Rehabilitation and Athletic Therapy in 2016. During this time he also spent some time working in the sports medicine department at Stanford University, California where he worked with elite international and olympic athletes.

Ben has completed a MSc (Masters by Research) on ocular metrics in concussion between 2016 and 2018 and has attended numerous international conferences, at which he has presented his research.

The mission of the clinic is to guide clients to achieve their goals to recover from injury, to improve function in both sporting and everyday life. To do this, Ben uses a hands-on assessment and treatment approach, employing evidence-based practice along with a comprehensive knowledge of strength and conditioning to help you achieve your goals.

Ben has 3 Leinster all-stars and 1 all-Ireland all-star for athletics, and has won numerous provincial and national medals, therefore, at the clinic, we understand what an injured individual may be going through and utilise this experience to further improve your overall outcomes and achieve your goals.
