Art Therapy is a form of psychotherapy that uses the creative process of making art to improve a person's physical, mental, and emotional well-being. It is a gentle and playful approach to supporting you through a variety of emotions or memories that may be causing you distress. It is especially good for young people to help them explore and understand their life experience. When words fail, art making can help facilitate emotional expression and get to the root of the problem. Sessions are held at the same time every week. The Art Therapy room is a confidential space where you can use art materials to express yourself. These materials can be used in whatever way that feels comfortable to you. There is also space to talk about any feelings that arise during the process. Angela is present to support you when reviewing and reflecting on your artwork. Who might benefit from Art Therapy?
