* Low Lunges with Bow + Arrow arms to work all around the heart and warm up the legs for Warrior.

*Child Pose to remind yourself to take time to rest for balance.

* Warrior Poses, Goddess Pose, Tree Pose for strength and balance.

*Winding down with Twists,Bridge Pose, Supported Savasana

MARCH MORNINGS 🌷

Do you have a morning routine? I love to get up before the house fully wakes to enjoy a few minutes to set myself up for the day ahead.

When I rush into my day too quickly, this sets a tone of rushing and reacting for the rest of the day, so when I take time to move more slowly into my morning, this serves me so much better. I am calmer with the kids. I take care of my own needs better.

My 3 Morning Non-negotiables

1. My first drink of the day is warm water with lemon 🍋and ginger 🫚 to nourish my digestive system before eating.
2. A few minutes of either yoga 🧘‍♀️ movement or meditation. I have been favouring meditation this month and have been really enjoying recommended by
3. Doing my Menstrual Cycle 🩸Awareness Check-in.
4. Eating a balanced breakfast which includes fibre, proteins and healthy fats. 😋

CREATIVE TENSION

I had a breakthrough last night as I sat with my tribe sisters around the Next Stage Celtic Wheel Virtual Hearth Fire last night.

I have been feeling uncomfortable this week thinking that I have to have it all worked out, now that we are at the point of the Spring Equinox.

I had a deep winter dreamtime and have my fiery arrows poised to strike but I don’t feel ready yet to launch.

Can you resonate at all? Are you holding onto dreamtime and feel afraid to take those next steps?

But we don’t have to have it all worked out just yet. This next 6 weeks is the time for holding the tension, sitting with what is and trusting this cyclical process.

To feel into what is being called for tending, for nurturing, for strengthening as we head towards the growing season, we aren’t quite there yet.

This is uncomfortable. This can feel scary. We don’t know what is going to happen next.

This is the point where I can start to give up on my dreams, make excuses for not continuing on with projects. I don’t like this time of now knowing. I like to be in control.

But I am going to try something different this equinox. To sit with this feeling of creative tension. To feel into it. To trust my body to keep guiding me.

Something I do differently here is pairing journaling 📝with each of my yoga 🧘‍♀️ classes.

How often have you had those breakthrough thoughts or realisations as you moved through a 🧘‍♀️yoga flow or rested in Savasana? Then promptly forgotten them once you’ve packed away your mat?

Our gentle style of yoga often leads to moments of release in the body, to deep listening, to letting go.

Having a journal 📝 ready to write in after your 🧘‍♀️practice can help you capture and start to process what is going on with you.

This works particularly well with our 🌕Moon Magic Yoga Classes.

At each phase I offer a guided yoga flow, meditation and journal prompts to help you to deeper with your practice.

Putting your intentions down onto paper helps to reinforce them and helps you create a structure then to work towards them phase by phase using the weekly prompts to map this out for your unique journey.

We begin a new cycle of Moon Magic Yoga Classes on Wednesday in preparation for Thursdays New Moon 🌑 in Pisces.♓️

Then place your left foot behind your right calf.

We begin a new cycle of Moon Magic Yoga with next week’s New Moon and I have a gorgeous grounding practice with a focus on our feet ready to go out on Wednesday. Would you like to join us?

I have been delighted with the response to our Moon Magic Yoga Rituals this year. It’s time now to weave a little extra magic into these practices.

In addition to the 45 Minute Practices at the New Moon and Full Moon, I am adding an extra 10 Minute Yoga Flow at the First Quarter Moon and Last Quarter Moon.

Each phase also includes information on working on your Cycle Intentions, Journal Prompts and Affirmations.

This months themes are:

New Moon - Weds 18th March - 30 Minute Yoga Flow for the Feet + 15 Minute Yoga Nidra Meditation for New Beginnings

First Quarter Moon - Tuesday 24th March - 10 Minute Yoga Flow - Playing with Warrior

Full Moon - Weds 1st April - 30 Minute Heart Centered Yoga Flow + 15 Minute Yoga Nidra Meditation for Self-Compassion

Last Quarter Moon - Thursday 9th April - 10 Minute Yoga Flow - Twists & Bends

All practices are recorded so you can do them at a time that suits you.

“Move only as fast as the most tender parts of yourself” .school

These words from Red School 🩸are a powerful reminder to us all today.

I am on CD6 🌷and can feel the stirrings of my Inner Spring energy. But this is happening alongside a deep anxiety in my heart ❤️today.

I woke up with a mind filled with to-do’s and must-do’s. My heart ❤️was racing before I even stepped out of bed.

😊These words are just as powerful as we prepare to step fully out of Winter ❄️and into Spring 🌷here in nature. We are still shaking off the Winter energy, we are little tender shoots 🌱that need nurturing and nourishment as we transition fully into Spring.

🌻So let this be your reminder to go easy on yourself whether you are transitioning from one inner season to the next or embracing this seasonal shift.

LAST QUARTER MOON 🌗

The Moon starts her final journey home tomorrow as she reaches her Last Quarter Phase.

This is your call to start to slow it down.

This doesn’t mean you have to stop 🛑 what you are doing.

But it is your invitation to review your day to day activities, as well as your new moon 🌑 wishes, to see where you perhaps need to shift focus or seek support.

You might consider shifting your yoga 🧘‍♀️ practice towards more Yin Yoga. These longer holding poses can help you to find your edge. To soften your edges. To start this retreat back to yourself.

Another way to embrace this slowing down invitation in your practice is to imagine that you are moving through water 💦 . This can help smooth your transitions, helping your move with more attention and focus.

Midlife is hard enough, without adding in an over complicated yoga 🧘‍♀️ practice that is going to leave you feeling more overwhelmed than when you began.

When I create a 🧘‍♀️class or a video I want it to be so simple that you can do it with your eyes closed.

🌻I keep my instructions simple, clear, supportive and encouraging.

🌻I create yoga flows that are straightforward enough for almost anybody to enjoy.

😊 We don’t do headstands in my classes and I keep Down Dog and Chair Pose to a minimum.

😃You are always the main focus. Your needs are always honoured. You are your best teacher.

🧘‍♀️We always start with a gentle warm up before going into the flow.

😴We NEVER miss savasana - this is the most important part of any yoga class and we make it a big priority here.
