In a world filled with pain and anger, it's easy to let negativity harden our hearts.
When others lash out with unkind words or actions, remember that their behavior often stems from their own hurt. Hurt people tend to hurt others; it’s a sad cycle that can keep going if we respond in the same way.
Instead of matching anger with anger, take a deep breath and try to ground yourself in peace. Imagine yourself as a calm island amid a stormy sea, unaffected by the turbulent emotions that surround you.
When you choose to respond with kindness and understanding, you create a moment of silence that can break the cycle of hurt. By staying true to your own nature and refusing to let others dictate your feelings, you start to heal not just yourself, but perhaps even those who are hurting. In this way, you become a source of light in a dark world ...
