📚 It’s a complete language with its own grammar and vocabulary, distinct from spoken English and Irish (Gaeilge).
👥 It’s the first and/or preferred language of around 5,000 Deaf people in Ireland.
📜 ISL was officially recognised as a language by the Irish government in 2017.

Today, we join people worldwide in recognising sign language as a vital part of human connection.
