My Blueprint for Health: 24h Fasting and the Eating Window. Why Does It Work? 🌿
Many people ask me about the "gold standard" of nutrition. While everyone is different, there is a model that works for the majority of my patients and one that I have personally followed for years.
My routine is:
✅ Daily: Intermittent Fasting – I eat 3 nutrient-dense, balanced meals within an 8-hour window.
✅ Once a week: A therapeutic fast lasting 20-24 hours.
Why do we do this? Fasting isn't a fad—it’s biology.
Fasting has been part of human history across all cultures worldwide. Today, science confirms what natural medicine has known for centuries: your body needs a break to trigger AUTOPHAGY—the natural process of cellular "spring cleaning" and recycling damaged cells.
Who benefits most from this model?
Fasting is powerful support, especially for those struggling with:
📍 Type 2 Diabetes and Insulin Resistance – Fasting fantastically sensitizes tissues to insulin and stabilizes blood sugar.
📍 Obesity and Overweight – It helps burn stubborn body fat (especially visceral/belly fat).

In the summer, we get it from skin synthesis, but in our latitude, that’s simply not enough. In food (fatty fish, mushrooms), there is unfortunately very little of it.
