Do you spend a lot on prescription medicines each month? Want to save some money? 💊
If you have the Drugs Payment Scheme (DPS) card, you pay a maximum of €80 a month for any approved medicines and certain medical appliances that you and your family need🙌
Your family includes:
✔️Your spouse or partner
✔️Your children under 18 or under 23 if they’re studying full-time
✔️A family member with a disability
You can apply for a DPS card online at mydps.ie or apply by post. To get the paper form, you can:
✅Download it from the HSE website
✅Call 📞 0818 22 44 78
✅Visit your Local Health Office
You’ll need to give some personal info when applying, including:
✔️ Full name, address, gender, date of birth and contact details of you and relevant family members
✔️ PPS numbers for you and your family
✔️ Proof of your address (like a bill)
✔️ Proof your children are in full-time education if they are 18-23
🛒 When you register for the DPS, you get a swipe card for each person you applied for. You show this card at the pharmacy when you collect your medication.
