In 2004, Hatzala Beit Shemesh was founded by a group of dedicated volunteers with strong medical expertise and a shared vision. They recognized the urgent need for a highly organized team of first-responders capable of reaching emergency scenes in the shortest time possible. Today, after two decades of tireless service and growth, that vision has been fully realized. Hatzala Beit Shemesh now boast
s a membership of over 110 dedicated individuals, including 75 highly trained EMTs, 5 skilled paramedics, 20 professional dispatchers, and 15 experts from our Psychotrauma & Crisis Response Unit. Our fleet of 6 fully equipped ambulances, dispersed strategically across the city, ensures that we can reach the scene of any emergency within minutes. With every moment being critical, our swift response time is the difference between life and death. Our 24-hour dispatch center, staffed by experienced personnel, tracks and coordinates every emergency from the moment a call is received until help arrives at the scene. Each of our responders is equipped with comprehensive life-saving kits, including defibrillators, epi-pens, CPR and resuscitation gear, IV sets, and delivery kits, enabling them to provide immediate and effective care to both adults and children in distress. Hatzala Beit Shemesh remains steadfast in its commitment to never charge for emergency services rendered including the transportation of a paatient to hospital. We rely entirely on the generous contributions of donors, both local and international. The cost of transporting a patient to a hospital stands at 850 shekels, covering fuel, equipment, and operational expenses.
