Hadassah Rimon Mind/Body Fertility Center, Hadassah Mount Scopus

The Goal of Rimon is to enhance fertility among Israeli women who are having difficulty conceiving by providing an array of wellness and psychological services which go hand in hand with medical treatment. The Center is based on a successful model developed at Harvard University, which aims to lower anxiety and depression, increase self-esteem, and help with daily coping. Research shows that by lowering stress and depression there is a thirty percent increase in fertility. The Rimon Center is the only Center of its kind in Israel: it is open to all women at no cost regardless to where they are treated. The Center is funded entirely on donations; including a multi- year grant from the Pratt Foundation (Australia) and private donations from individuals in Los Angeles and Israel.

יחידת ההפריה החוץ-גופית (IVF) בהדסה הר הצופים משרתת סוגים מאד מגוונים של אוכלוסייה - נשים חרדיות וחילוניות, אמהות חד הוריות, נשים מוסלמיות ונוצריות – שהצד המשותף לכולן הוא הרצון להביא ילד לעולם. היחידה מאמינה בקשר ההדוק שבין הטיפול הרפואי בגוף, שניתן על ידי צוות היחידה, לבין הטיפול בנפש, שניתן על ידי אנשי המקצוע של מרכז רימון.

נשים העוברות טיפולי פוריות סובלות לעיתים קרובות מחרדה, דיכאון, מתח ולחץ נפשי. מחקרים מלמדים שעזרה נפשית שמטרתה לאפשר להן להתמודד עם תופעות אלו מגדילה את סיכויי ההצלחה של הכניסה להריון. ייעודו של מרכז רימון הוא לתמוך בנשים המטופלות והוא עושה זאת במגוון נרחב של דרכים.
