I really want to exercise—my body needs it—but every time I start, it just causes pain and exhausts me." 😩 Sound familiar?

This happens to so many of us when we try to do too much, too fast. If your body has been neglected for a while, it's likely holding onto a lot of tension and stiffness. Your muscles, ligaments, and tendons might be weak, and energy levels can feel low.

In that state, jumping into an intense workout program often backfires. Starting with strength training too soon can actually make your body even stiffer, increasing compression in your joints and spine—and that means more pain. It's frustrating when you know movement is the key to feeling better, but every attempt leaves you worse off.

So, what's the secret? 🤔 It’s all about honoring your body's current capacity. You need to begin gradually, move within your limits, and allow your body to open up and evolve at its own pace.

Think about how you move with the season. Staying up a little later to enjoy the long evenings, but still greeting the morning actively and early, helps you truly feel and use this dynamic energy. It's about finding your rhythm with the world around you.

According to traditional Chinese medicine, summer is deeply connected to the heart and the pure joy of life. This means paying special attention to your emotions. Be open, friendly, and really soak in the beautiful moments – laughter, lightness, and genuine joy are your best friends right now. Try to let go of constant stress, anger, or resentment. These heavier feelings can really strain your heart and dim your natural vitality over time.

Physically, keep that body moving! Get outside for sports, go for a swim, or cycle through nature. The main thing is to gently get yourself active. Your shoulders are screaming at you right now.

That familiar weight pressing down. The knots between your shoulder blades. The way your neck feels like it's made of concrete after staring at screens all day.

I see this every single day in the Studio. People walk in carrying their stress like invisible backpacks, shoulders hiked up to their ears without even realizing it.

Here's what most people don't know: your shoulders aren't just tight from "bad posture." They're holding onto everything—your stress, your emotions, even your breathing patterns.

That's why traditional stretching only gives temporary relief. You need movements that address the whole system.
