Keren Burgman MA MFT Individual, Family and Child Therapist Each place I have lived has brought new opportunities and challenges.
Hi I'm a Marriage, Family and Child Therapist and began my International Career as an American traveling abroad over 30 years ago. Little did I know back then that I was going to build my career from my many cross cultural experiences. I have lived in 3 continents and personally understand what is involved in living in new cultures and the process of reinventing yourself. As a therapist, my professional work and life experiences have provided me with opportunities to help people find themselves during difficult circumstances, find hope when filled with uncertainty, and become more resilient and creative in rediscovering options, and finding strengths so a person can move forward in life. While you can't change the past, you can create new beginnings. This is your life and there is nothing more precious than that. I am here to help you find relief, clarity and purpose. And to remind you about reconnecting with your true self.

2021 Time to Let Go...2022 Allow the seeds of change fill your life with clear vision, hope and possibilities.
Once upon a time when I was a little girl I thought that Dandelion seeds were magical. If I made a wish and closed my eyes tight I thought the seeds would be carried to my wish in the heavens. I called it a “Dadywish” Today the winds are blowing, sometimes with great force, sometimes […]

Mama my gentle giant black cat of 18 years, with golden eyes took her last breath this week.
I watched her basking in the sun, lapping water with her head to the side so weary, old and fragile, and yet she kept holding onto life.
Ah yes, we too in this body of ours we hold onto life even when we are facing death.
My heart was filled with love and tenderness, and longing to ease your suffering.
And yet I didnt want to let go. So one evening I sat next to you and asked "Mama, is it time to say goodbye? Tell me what should we do?
At this moment she put her paw on my hand as if to say..please yes, let me go. I am a shell of the cat I once was. I want to be free."
And so I knew what to do. The next day we prepared your carrier box for your final journey.
Upon our arrival I all I could do was weep and thank you for so many years of unconditional love.
Now there is an empty space where you once slept and when I close my eyes I imagine you frolicking in the wind, with your spirit sister Lulu, together again like you once were as kittens...

Yes, I have gone through days where I wake up and just feel so sad and need to cry. I know others have felt this too. Then I continue my day and let those feeling wash over me move through me..keep breathing and then my mood lifts..Its been a long 7 months..dark emotionally for so many of us..its been seasons of uncertainty and longing. Hoping for kinder and easier days..remember to keep your heart open so the light can get in.
You don't need to go thru this alone.
I am here to walk with you.

My Dear Friends
2020 has been an extraordinary and uncertain year
filled with so much unknown and darkness that it has cracked open most peoples hearts throughout the world. For so many it has been a year of CoVid and loss, for many isolation and lonliness, for many because of forced lockdown there has been a questioning what is my purpose in life..who am I, and what is truly important to me, in my relationships and my family.
SO this holiday season, light a candle for someone you love and make a connection, light a candle for someone you need to forgive and make peace, light a candle for yourself for we are often the hardest on oneself, light a candle for someone that needs strength to carry on, light a candle for those who are lost who need to find their way home and light a candle with gratitude, giving thanks for the little and big things in life, that nourish you.
With love and blessings you

Sometimes we don’t believe we are enough in the world, or even feel we have the right to be here and express who we really are. Especially when we have a day or days that are trying, we feel discouraged or weary. Love yourself with all your heart, with all your might, because the truth is there is no one else like you. Carry this locket with you every day, and remind yourself this too shall pass, and call in your inner voice to remind yourself “I will always take care of you ad I am here for you, I love you.”
As a therapist, it is my job and my honor to be attuned to people I work with and how they respond, emotionally, intellectually and spiritually to my intervention. I have studied many methods about human change, but in the end its about my capacity to find compassion, acceptance, curiosity and mindfulness and a willingness to hang out without knowing, both therapy and the person in therapy to dive into the unknown together.
