Read that again slowly.

Not I water them more. Not I give them more light. Not I work harder than every other gardener.
I remove what stops them.

The assumption in most self-improvement thinking is that growth requires addition. More discipline. More motivation. More information. More effort applied in the direction of the thing you're trying to build.

But the gardener knows something different.
Most of the time what is stopping growth is not the absence of something. It is the presence of something. The belief that was planted before you were old enough to question it. The relationship that is consuming the energy the other parts of your life need. The habit that is taking up exactly the space where something better is trying to grow. The identity you're protecting that requires you to stay exactly where you are.
You don't need to force yourself to grow.

You need to find what is stopping you and remove it.
The growth — your actual nature, what you were always capable of — will do the rest on its own.
