ALYN is Israel's pediatric rehabilitation hospital, founded in Jerusalem 80 years ago and today internationally recognized as a leading pediatric rehabilitation facility with a holistic approach to the needs of children with a broad range of congenital and acquired conditions. ALYN staff regularly treat children from overseas and advise hospitals worldwide on treatment and care, as well as on innovative solutions developed at the hospital. The brand new Innovation Space established at the hospital brings together all of the elements required for innovation in Assistive Technology: a physical co-working space with a state-of-the-art laboratory for prototyping and initial manufacturing, access to Israel's leading experts in pediatric rehabilitation, partnership around clinical trials, and the opportunity for product testing with target audiences by interacting with ALYN patients in a controlled and safe environment. The Innovation Space team will work with children from all over Israel who need personalized solutions (through PELE) and with entrepreneurs and inventors around assistive innovation that can benefit a global audience (through ALYNnovation).

Our story

ALYN, Israel's internationally recognized pediatric rehabilitation hospital, has established a brand new Innovation Space in partnership with the National Insurance Social Funds, the Ministry of Jerusalem and Heritage and the Jerusalem Development Authority. The newly renovated Innovation Space is a one stop shop for Assistive Technology entrepreneurship and brings together, for the first time under one roof, all of the elements required for innovation in this field: a physical work space with a state-of-the-art lab for prototyping and initial manufacturing, access to Israel's leading experts in pediatric rehabilitation, partnership around clinical trials, and the opportunity for product testing with target audiences by interacting with ALYN patients and staff in a controlled and safe environment.

The PELE team develops customized solutions for individual children with physical disabilities from all over Israel

The ALYNnovation team works with inventors, entrepreneurs and start-ups around commercial assistive innovation that can benefit a global audience.
