In many of our sessions this week โ including in corporate wellness settings โ we focused on ๐ญ๐ก๐ ๐ฌ๐ฉ๐ข๐ง๐.
๐ Most of us spend hours sitting, emailing, Zooming.
But how often do we ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ our posture and spinal alignment?
๐ง Today in class, we began with a unique ๐ ๐ฎ๐ข๐๐๐ ๐ฏ๐ข๐ฌ๐ฎ๐๐ฅ๐ข๐ณ๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง:
We imagined ourselves at our desks โ not ideally, but honestly. What does your spine ๐๐๐๐๐๐ look like when you're focused on work?
Then we reimagined it: upright, strong, relaxed, and ๐ซ๐๐๐ข๐๐ญ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐ง๐๐ซ๐ ๐ฒ.
We visualized ๐๐๐๐๐ฌ ๐จ๐ ๐ฅ๐ข๐ ๐ก๐ญ moving along the spinal cord, then flowing outward through the nerves into the arms, legs, fingers, and toes โ reconnecting our body from the inside out.
At the end of class, we saw ourselves seated once again โ but now with more awareness, more grace, more confidence.
๐งโโ๏ธ ๐๐จ๐ฏ๐๐ฆ๐๐ง๐ญ ๐๐ข๐ ๐ก๐ฅ๐ข๐ ๐ก๐ญ๐ฌ:
Gentle ๐ญ๐ฐ๐ข๐ฌ๐ญ๐ฌ and ๐ฎ๐ฉ๐ฉ๐๐ซ ๐๐๐๐ค/๐ง๐๐๐ค ๐ซ๐๐ฅ๐๐๐ฌ๐ to counter screen fatigue.
๐๐๐๐ค๐๐๐ง๐๐ฌ to energize and ๐๐จ๐ซ๐ฐ๐๐ซ๐ ๐๐จ๐ฅ๐๐ฌ to calm the nervous system:
Bhujangฤsana (Cobra) | Setu Bandha (Bridge) | Ustrฤsana (Camel)
Halasana (Plow) | Paschimottanฤsana (Seated Fold) | Balฤsana (Childโs Pose) | and Utkata Konasana (Goddess Pose) โ to build strength and upright spinal support from the ground up.
Throughout, we intentionally alternated effort and recovery to support mobility and emotional regulation.
๐ We ended with a spacious ลavฤsana (final rest), inviting full-body integration and nervous system reset.
๐ฌ Why does this matter?
Because ๐ฌ๐ฉ๐ข๐ง๐๐ฅ ๐ก๐๐๐ฅ๐ญ๐ก = ๐๐จ๐ ๐ง๐ข๐ญ๐ข๐ฏ๐ ๐ก๐๐๐ฅ๐ญ๐ก = ๐๐ฆ๐จ๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐๐ฅ ๐ฐ๐๐ฅ๐ฅ-๐๐๐ข๐ง๐ .
When people feel upright, open, and grounded in their bodies, they show up to work with more:
