In honor of Yom HaShoah, we honor the Holocaust survivors in our Ten Kavod program.

Meet Susanna Leibowitz, an 86-year-old Holocaust survivor and member of our Ten Kavod program, who shares what this support truly means. Through the care and connection of our volunteers, she has found a sense of warmth and belonging that continues to make a meaningful difference in her life.

We are grateful to be able to provide Susanna and many others with a true sense of home and family as part of the orange family. 🧡

Some people are sitting tonight around the holiday table, and some are sitting in front of screens, protecting all of our lives.

To our dear dispatchers,
from the moment the holiday began until it ends tomorrow, you are in the operational center—alert, focused, with your finger on the pulse—thank you.

You are the ones answering every call, calming, guiding, and activating our volunteer network in the field even while everyone around is celebrating.

Because of you, even on a holiday night, there is someone watching over us, caring, and saving lives.

Our hearts are especially moved to see this unique partnership:
dispatchers from the Arab community stepping in to take shifts during the holiday, allowing their Jewish colleagues to sit at the Seder table, observe the holiday, recite the blessings, and be with their families.

This is not just a job.
This is a mission.
This is true mutual responsibility.
This is the beautiful face of Israel.

The people of Israel wish you all a happy and kosher Passover,
and want you to know that you are seen, appreciated, and deeply valued. Even if you are not around the table, you are in all of our hearts 🧡

Two United Hatzalah Volunteers. Two Lives Saved. One Impact .

This morning’s missile strike that hit Tel Aviv did not spare even those who dedicate their lives to saving others.

A United Hatzalah volunteer was home when the blast hit, saw both his apartment and his vehicle, seriously damaging them. Within moments, the responder became the one in need of support. At the very same moment at a nearby location, one of our dedicated Arab volunteer medics, Rushdi Hussein, found himself at the epicenter of the impact explosion. It was not chance that saved him. It was his preparednesss and his protective gear, vest and helmet, that he’s required to wear these days since the beginning of Operation Roaring Lion, that saved his life.

Today, the orange family of United Hatzalah is standing beside both of these volunteers, just as they have stood beside countless others in their most critical moments.

Even our rescuers need protection.

Our hearts are with the volunteers of Hatzola NW London and the NW London community following last night’s devastating attack.

We know what it means to give your nights and weekends to run toward an emergency while others step back. Different countries, different organizations, the same extraordinary commitment to saving lives.

The outpouring of support for Hatzola NW shows how the Jewish community rises in a crisis. If you’d like to help, please donate through their official website only.

To every Hatzola Northwest volunteer who will climb back into an ambulance this week despite what happened - we see you, we admire you, and we stand with you.

Today, President Isaac Herzog and First Lady Michal Herzog visited Dimona together with United Hatzalah volunteers following last night’s missile strike.

There, they saw our Psychotrauma Unit in action, supporting families in the immediate aftermath when every moment counts. Among the team was Efrat Suissa, a senior social worker and volunteer. Efrat, who lost her husband Yoel Suissa z”l, a United Hatzalah volunteer, has turned personal tragedy into a mission of helping others.

United Hatzalah medical responders and an ambulance crew provided initial medical treatment on Sunday to a 58-year-old woman who sustained minor injuries following a direct hit on a vehicle in Misgav Am. A male driver, approximately 60 years old, was pronounced dead at the scene. The woman was transported in a United Hatzalah ambulance to Ziv Medical Center in Safed.

United Hatzalah EMTs Dvir Levi and Lior Vaknin reported: "The driver was trapped in the vehicle, which caught fire as a result of a direct hit. Unfortunately, he was pronounced dead at the scene due to the severity of his injuries. Additionally, we were informed that a 58-year-old woman managed to exit the vehicle quickly; she was transported to the hospital in stable condition."
