💔 In one moment, their lives were changed forever 💔
Last spring, 7-year-old Imri was on vacation in Eilat with his parents and little brother. As they were crossing the street, disaster struck. A bus. A screech of brakes. A horrifying crash. His mother and brother survived with minor injuries — but Imri’s leg was crushed. Doctors weren’t sure they could save it.

At ALYN’s rehabilitation daycare , a chair is never just a chair.

Children need to sit comfortably with other kids to eat, play, talk, and take part in daily activities. But kids with muscle weakness or unusual postures often struggle—they may feel left out, unable to use their hands properly or make eye contact. Most seating options for them are bulky, heavy, hard to clean, and make them feel different. That’s the challenge the PELE (Customized solutions) staff took on : to design a modular, lightweight, and easy-to-clean chair for children in our rehabilitation day care.
This chair was co-designed by PELE makers, ALYN’s rehabilitation and educational staff, occupational therapists, and aides – each bringing their expertise to create this exceptional chair.

Yesterday marked the start of the school year at ALYN Pediatric Rehabilitation Center, just like across the rest of the country. At our hospital school, the opening is gradual to help our young patients adapt smoothly to an educational schedule alongside their medical appointments and rehabilitation sessions.

Our dedicated staff have prepared the classrooms with care, and our young students are eager to begin a year filled with learning, growth, and meaningful achievement milestones.

Yesterday, staff, visitors and young patients with their families arriving at the hospital were greeted by the launch of the “Yellow stone path to Freedom” project.

The Freedom Path was created in solidarity with the hostages — to inspire hope and strengthen our shared sense of responsibility, both for the captives and for each other.

All were invited to write a personal message: to a beloved hostage, to their families, or to the nation. These heartfelt notes were written on yellow stones, which together will form a symbolic path to freedom on the grounds of ALYN Hospital.

🚴💙 Our brave and determined kids have kicked off training for Wheels of Love 2025, happening this November!
Once again, ALYN's special cycling team, "the Swift and the Bold", made up of children and teens who’ve overcame rehabilitation challenges, is gearing up for this incredible journey. Riding dozens of kilometers, they’re pushing forward with strength, spirit, and hope. Led by Hadas Hendler and supported by amazing volunteers and the Etgarim organization, the team trains weekly, building toward the big ride. This year brings a special full-circle moment: former young riders who began their recovery on this team are now coming back to support others on their journey. 💪💫

✨ A Unique Summer Experience for ALYN Kids! ✨
This week, ALYN children had an extraordinary experience as part of their occupational therapy! They rolled up their sleeves and got busy with some summer cooking, culminating in a festive sale of everything they made. 🍽️🎉 Not only did they learn valuable skills like working the register and customer service, but they also honed their motor and sensory regulation skills—all while having fun!💪 And the best part? Every child walked away with an immense sense of achievement and self-worth. 🌟 This is just one of the many ways we at ALYN help kids build confidence and independence through hands-on activities! 💫
