When Care Becomes Trust 💙
During Assif’s farewell party at ALYN, we were given a rare and moving gift: the opportunity to listen to his mother, Anat, share their journey.

“As soon as they called him by name and truly looked at him,” she said, “I knew we were in the right place.” In her words, we heard what happens when a child is truly seen, and when rehabilitation becomes hope, confidence, and joy.

Just Being Kids 🐠
Every child needs a sense of normalcy, including children on respirators. At ALYN, this belief lives in our DNA.
So even when it’s complex, we make it happen, taking our respiratory patients to the Israel aquarium in Jerusalem, with their families and a full medical team, because they deserve what every child deserves, a day to simply be kids.

From Patient to Doctor 👩‍⚕️
At ALYN’s Hanukkah lighting ceremony, Dr. Coral Veder Carmi came as a guest speaker and shared her moving journey, from a cancer diagnosis and leg amputation to rehabilitation at ALYN.

Fifteen years ago, she was here as a patient, today she returns as a doctor. She reminded us that rehabilitation is not about returning to who you were before, but about building the life you choose, even when the dream feels out of reach.

Imri Goes Home — A Letter That Moved Us Deeply 💓

We receive many touching letters, but Imri’s parents wrote something so heartfelt that we had to share it. After months of rehabilitation at ALYN following a road accident that nearly cost him his leg, their message truly moved us.

"In a magical city, between mountains and quiet neighborhoods,
there is a place like no other. Anyone lucky enough to arrive here discovers something wondrous, a home filled with superheroes disguised as everyday heroes, angels in the form of nurses and caregivers, and musicians conducting the orchestra in the shapes of doctors and therapists.

Four months ago, we came here lost and hurting. Between long days and longer nights, within the walls of the ward, you lit a light for us, a light of gentleness, of patience, of boundless humanity. In a difficult time, you became our anchor,
the steady hand that held us when our strength trembled, and the wide, wordless embrace that carried us forward.

You do not only heal wounds, you restore faith. You do not only treat the body, you touch the soul. Thank you for being the light in our healing journey, for turning pain into hope…"
