It was yoga that transformed what could have merely been recovery from acute injury into a journey of self-discovery, growth and fulfillment. After sustaining a knee injury in 2012 and the lengthy rehab process that followed, yoga was the tool I used in the first moments of injury and beyond to decrease my pain experience, need for painkillers and augment the exercises given by my physiotherapist. There was no doubt that dietary changes, deep-breathing, meditation, and complementary medicine boosted the efficacy of the treatment protocol recommended by my physician. Experiencing a smooth and full recovery, I saw an opportunity to shift from my background in design and visual communication into the field of mind-body wellness to teach the skills I developed to others in an intelligent and systematic way. I began yoga teacher training on the one year anniversary of my surgery date and since completing my 200 hour training in 2014 have followed up with additional certifications in “yin yoga” and “yoga for a happy back”. In 2016 I received my Life Coaching certification with Dr. Leah Gniwesch through the Jerusalem Coaching Institute where I also trained in Neuro-linguistic Programming (NLP). Integrating my personal experience, yoga training and knowledge of complementary medicine modalities I now base my Holistic Wellness Coaching practice on the principles of potential based coaching to raise my clients self-awareness and provide tools for their own journey of self-discovery to lead more vibrantly healthy lives.
