๐ผ Dear Pregnant Mama โ Letโs Talk About Lower Back & Leg Pain ๐ผ
Hi beautiful mama-to-be ๐
As summer approaches and your bump grows, your body is working overtimeโand that often means lower back aches, swollen feet, and tired legs. Sound familiar?
You're not alone, and more importantlyโyou donโt have to just โgrin and bear it.โ
Let me share a gentle, restorative yoga position that may help relieve some of that built-up tension and bring you a bit of peace. ๐
๐งโโ๏ธ Legs-on-the-Chair Pose โ A Soothing Reset
This deeply relaxing position can help release pressure from your lower back, pelvic area, legs, and feet:
โจ Lie on your back on a firm, padded surface (like a yoga mat with a blanket).
โจ Place your lower legs and feet on a well-padded chair, making sure your knees are bent.
๐ As your belly grows, you may need to adjust and widen the angle between your thighs and your torsoโexperiment until it feels good.
โจ Try a pillow under your lower back or hips to gently shift your pelvic tilt.
โจ Add comfort: place soft pillows, rolled blankets, or even lightly weighted objects on your legs or feet to ground you and enhance the release.
๐งก This is a time to tune inโto listen to your body with kindness and curiosity.
Sometimes, even tiny adjustments can bring surprising relief.
