If you are a practitioner or therapist working with women 40+ let me ask you.... did peri-menopause or menopause ever come up in your training program?

I know that for many therapists, coaches, and practitioners, the answer is a big NO.

โญ I know you have probably listened to podcasts, watched documentaries, read books and probably bought magazines.
โญ You know that menopause is a HOT TOPIC and you have to be informed โ€“ for yourself if nothing else!

BUT - do you really understand how menopause is showing up for your clients?
๐Ÿ‘‰ Do you really understand how their hormonal changes are impacting the reasons why they came to you in the first place?
๐Ÿ‘‰ Did you know that trauma can resurface in perimenopause?
๐Ÿ‘‰ Did you know that intimate relationships can look very different, often because of the role that peri-menopause symptoms are playing?
๐Ÿ‘‰ Did you know that stress can impact your physical and emotional wellbeing in ways we never understood?

Without understanding the science and biology of menopause and hormones and the profound way that this can show up for women, you are probably missing a BIG piece of your client's stories and experiences.

And without adding a menopause-informed lens to your existing work with them, your client is never going to have the deeply profound breakthroughs that can be life-changing.

"Why did my therapist never mention this to me before" is a comment I have heard numerous times from my clients.

๐ŸŽฏ If you are not connecting the dots between your client's menopause experience and the struggles that brought them to you, then don't worry because I have created just the thing for you!

The Menopause Informed Training Program for Practitioners is a unique 10 week training program that combines the theory, science, symptoms and hormones of menopause with the practical application for you in your work with clients.

This is NOT a 3 hour workshop!
This is a comprehensive, live, evidence informed, deep dive into the world of menopause and how to use this knowledge to help support your clients in the most profound ways โ€“ for real healing!

This has been created with the practitioner in mind, to give you the tools to start using immediately in your work and to position yourself as the go-to menopause informed leader in your community.

If this is exactly what you have been looking for, please put a ๐Ÿ‘ in the comments or send me a DM and I will be in touch!

When I first saw this I was really angry๐Ÿ˜ก
Let me give you some context.
In 2022, I launched The Menopause Summit, a 5 day online event bringing together menopause and women's health experts and real women's to share their knowledge, wisdom and stories.
As a result of the success of that Summit, I brought the Summit back in 2023 and 2024.

In total, I invterviewed over 50 leading women's health experts, nutritionists, hormone specialists, functional medicine doctors, menopause experts and real women and grew The Menopause Summit into a 6 day online experience.

This year I am not running The Menopause Summit again because I have something much bigger in the works.
In September I will be launching my new Podcast๐Ÿฅณ.
I am currently interviewing and preparing all the behind the scenes stuff! If you want to learn more and sign up to get the first episodes when they drop go here... https://www.jacquelinerosehealth.com/podcast

So when I saw this advert come up on my news feed I was confused. It seems too coincidental that the graphics and name they have used are SO similar to mine.

To be honest I was p*issed off๐Ÿ˜
I invested a HUGE amount of time, energy, thought, intention and money into creating my Summit.

But then I had another thought......โ˜บ๏ธ

Maybe imitation is the highest form of flattery.
I have no idea who this organisation is, but the fact that they have used the exact same name and logo with the same side images that I created, must mean that I have been doing something right!

So if this comes up on your news feed know that it is NOT me this year. But just wait till I launch my Podcast - I know you are going to love it!!!

Post-Menopause is not just a slow decline till you die.
Post-Menopause is when everything becomes possible!

The narrative that women used to live with was that post-menopause was all about managing expectations - NOTHING good really happened in these dark years.
It was just about navigating illness, medication, health decline, doctor visits, frailty..... this is what was to be expected.

Oh My - HOW THINGS HAVE CHANGED.
With improved health care, economic possibilities, changes in society, women's independence and empowerment, women age very differently today.

BUT despite this, there are still many stereotypes and myths around what a post-menopausal woman looks like or what she should expect of herself.

So let me tell you what a post-menopause woman is NOT:
๐Ÿ‘‰ She is not limited - by health, economics, opportunities, society or professional options.
๐Ÿ‘‰ She is not going to do things that way she used to. She is going to make decisions based on her needs and her desires.
๐Ÿ‘‰ She is not going to be all things to all people. She is setting boundaries, deciding what works for her and what doesn't and having the confidence to say NO to things that don't work for her.
๐Ÿ‘‰ She is not going to stay quiet. If she has something to say, she will say it. She is not filtering her comments or being nice just to please others.

On the flip side, this is what a post-menopausal women IS:
๐Ÿฉท She is going to do the things she wants to do, even if other people don't understand it or question her decisions.
๐Ÿฉท She is going to travel, open her own business, find a new hobby and not cook dinner every night.
๐ŸฉทShe is going to impart her wisdom and life experience to you - whether you have asked or not ๐Ÿ˜‰
๐Ÿฉท She is going to be strong in mind, body and spirit and be in control of her health journey.

Post-menopause is where all the amazing things happen.
If youโ€™re ready to embrace your menopause experience and prepare for a fabulous post-menopause, Iโ€™d love to chat with you.

Everyone says that in midlife you should start avoiding sugar.
That sugar is going to trigger insulin resistance (Do you even know what is??).
That sugar is poison to the body.
That cutting out sugar is the best way to drop the pounds that won't budge.

It all sounds great, but the truth is that for many women their sugar cravings go into over drive in peri-menopause and it becomes a vicious cycle of elimination, cravings, guilt and shame.

So let's change the conversation and let me ask you...... HOW DO YOU FEEL when you eat sugar??
Forget about the dos and don'ts.
Forget about the science.
Forget about what all the experts say.

Just listen to your own body and how it feels when you eat sugar - even if it's "healthy sugars"!
Let me share with you what I feel..... and this is only me, but it may resonate with you.
After I eat sugar - either in the healthy forms like fruit, silan or granola, or the more obvious forms of cookies, cakes and chocolate ......
๐Ÿ‘‰ within the hour I have a total energy crash and I can't function.
๐Ÿ‘‰ I can't focus, get through my to-do and have no motivation for anything.
๐Ÿ‘‰ I get bloated and feel really uncomfortable - all my clothes feel tighter on me.

And all of this happens within an hour or so and can last up to 24 hours!

Do you notice that these sound like classic menopause symptoms too.......
โœ… brain fog
โœ… exhausting
โœ… low energy
โœ… no motivation
โœ… bloating

Imagine if you understood how certain lifestyle factors, food you eat or stress in your life triggered, exaccerbated and impacted your symptom experience.

21/07/2025

I see so many menopause experts talk about โ€œchanging the menopause conversationโ€.

But actually what they are doing is just feeding into the menopause narrative and not challenging any of the assumptions.

As a Menopause educator and coach I am not interested in reinforcing the so-called new narrative, because actually it is feeding into a generalized misconception of what menopause really is!

Example #1
Every Menopause expert now promotes the benefits of HRT as if this is the new frontier.
It is understandable why promoting HRT would be seen to be pushing the boundaries of the Menopause conversation given its history.
But the truth is, today it is accepted as a valid treatment option within the norms of the discourse.
The change in the conversation really has to be about personalization, dosage, promoting testosterone and combining HRT with other treatment options.

Example #2
When Menopause experts talk about the range of symptoms above and beyond the five common ones (hot flashes, night sweats, brain fog, vaginal dryness and weight gain) they are pushing the boundaries of Menopause understanding.
By now we know that Menopause can show up in many different ways and there is no one size fit all.
Changing the conversation here requires digging deeper into what this life stage transition is really about. Itโ€™s about moving past a symptom checklist and understanding the deeper meaning behind Menopause.

Example #3
Many of the leading Menopause voices are white, educated, middle class, heterosexual women.
There are some true trailblazers from ethnic communities and communities of color but these are the exceptions not the norm.
The perception is that a menopausal woman has specific socioeconomic characteristics.
Just look at the covers of womenโ€™s health and menopausal magazines as examples of this.
We need to move past this generic characterization and understand that a menopausal woman looks as different and varied as the global community of women.

A single mother, raising her children alone working two jobs will go through menopause in the same way as any other woman. And in fact, she may struggle even more because she will never have time to go see a doctor or get the support sheโ€™s so desperately needs.

My mission is to really challenge the Menopause narratives that are being shared with us under the guise of opening up and changing the conversation.

It is the only way that we will really be able to support every woman on her menopause journey.

You already know somethingโ€™s missing from your client work with midlife women โ€” and youโ€™re right.

With the explosion of the menopause conversation, you know that this is something you need to be talking about too.

๐ŸงBut where to start?
๐ŸงHow to broach the topic?
๐ŸงHow to include it with your existing go-to coaching tools?
๐ŸงAnd can you identify how menopause symptoms are impacting your client's experiences and the reason they came to you in the first place?

If you know that you need to be menopause informed, then I invite you to join me at this free webinar, Confidently Support Midlife Women: What Every Therapist & Coach Needs to Know - But Was Never Taught!

In this webinar youโ€™ll discover how becoming menopause informed can
โœจ Deepen your clientsโ€™ breakthroughs
โœจ Expand your confidence and language as a practitioner
โœจ Position you as a trusted guide for midlife women

๐Ÿง  You donโ€™t need a new modality.
You need an added perspective to your coaching tools to understand what your client is really dealing with.

Menopause is the HOT TOPIC ๐Ÿ”ฅ
And if you are a life coach working with women 40+ you may have questioned whether you need to be menopause aware.

๐ŸงIs this something that you need to know about to support your clients?
๐ŸงDo you know how is menopause impacting your clientโ€™s experiences?
๐ŸงDo you know how menopause is impacting your clientโ€™s experiences?at you are not showing up to support your clients in the best way.

This is why I created the Menopause Informed Training Program.

โ€œJaneโ€ is a life coach, and after speaking with me, she realized that she was missing a significant piece of her clientโ€™s journey by never having mentioned Menopause in all her coaching work.

Jane has signed up for the Menopause Informed Training Program because she realized that when she combines menopause awareness together with her existing coaching tools, her clients will have a more profound healing experience!

16/07/2025

One of the challenges that women face is having doctors/health care professionals that actually are listening to what we are saying.
I will often say to my clients - "you have every right to find yourself another doctor that makes you feel comfortable, heard and will validate what you are feeling."

โ— The problem is that we feel "bad" going to see another doctor.
โ— We feel like we are "betraying" our first doctor if *they* are not answering our questions and we look elsewhere.
โ— We put our trust in our health care practitioners and if they aren't giving us clear guidance, we often feel like "we are the problem"!

I want to share two things that every woman needs to remember when she is feeling like her doctor is NOT relating to her and her situation as she would wish.

1. Our doctors really do want to do the right thing. They want to treat you and heal you.
THE BIG PROBLEM - traditionally women's health is deeply mis-understood in the medical profession. Training programs do not give enough time, nuance and information to women's health related topics.
Even in the Gynecological specialisations.
They have a very specific focus which does not reflect the reality of most women's lived, daily health experiences.

2. There is no way your doctor can truly understand your health issues in a 10 min. appointment. And most doctors give very little weight to the fact that you live with and in your body 24/7.
Most doctors do not value your own observed and lived experiences because "you are not a doctor".
If you see a private doctor you may have a better response.
If you see a functional medicine doctor you will definitely have a different experience.

However within the "regular medical field" most appointments are short, to the point, discussing the most essential symptoms, with some prescription for medication the result of the appointment.
Very few doctors take the time to ask you about your lifestyle, your stress triggers, explore how you are sleeping, or your social connection.

They may ask some basic questions to tick the boxes but there is very llittle exploration.
And that is fine - because they have NOT be trained to ask these questions or understand why they are even important!

Given all of this I want you to know........
๐Ÿ‘‰ If you do not feel seen, heard, validated or taken seriously by your doctor you have every right to find a doctor who will do all these things!
๐Ÿ‘‰ If you feel gas-light, think you are experiencing medical misogyny, or being told it's all in your head, you have every right to find another doctor.
๐Ÿ‘‰ At any point in time, you have every right to find another doctor!

You are not here to make your doctor feel good about him/herself.
You are here to get the help, support and professional guidance you deserve.

๐Ÿฉท I am Jacqueline, Menopause Educator and Coach, Hormonal Health Specialist and Founder of The Menopause Informed Training Program for practitioners who work with women 40 +.

15/07/2025

This is what I know for sure - Menopause is a WHOLE BODY experience.
One of the myths that we are fed about menopause however, is that it's all about our reproductive hormones.
Yes there are symptoms that just "happen" to impact the whole body.
But really it's all about our reproductive system stopping, our ovaries shutting down and eostrogen dropping.

This has never really made sense to me, as the more I work with my clients, the more I understand the role of our hormones and women's health life stage, the more I realise that this is a very narrow view of what menopause really is.

โœ–๏ธ And this narrative does NOT serve women!!

So what is menopause?
๐ŸŒบ Women's lived experiences of peri-menopause, menopause and post-menopause show us that it is way more then just a symptom checklist!
If menopause really was ONLY a reproductive experience WHY do we feel it so profoundly in all areas of our body and our life.

๐Ÿ‘‰ Why does menopause impact our identity as women, how we want to show up, what we are willing to accept?
๐Ÿ‘‰Why can we experience deep and profound emotional and mental health changes?
๐Ÿ‘‰Why can does it impact our cognitive function so that we feel we have early on-set dementia?
๐Ÿ‘‰Why do my clients say they feel untethered, out of balance, like they don't know who they are anymore.

โœ–๏ธ This is because menopause is NOT just another annoying and insufferable thing that women have to experience.
Just adding it to the long list of things women have to tolerate without proper attention - PMS, pregnancy and birth, infertility, endometriosis, PCOS and more.

๐Ÿฉท Menopause is a profound life stage.
A journey that every woman has to travel to reach the real destination - Post-Menopause!
๐ŸŽ‰ Post-menopause is where is all the fun happens.
It's the stage of life where everything is possible and we have the maturity and life experience to make our own decisions on our own terms.

If we can begin to reframe our peri-menopause and menopause experience through this lense then it starts to make more sense and be less suffering, struggle and confusion.
Because then symptoms are God's idea of a misogynist joke.
But rather signs, messages, whispers that your body is sending you that something is changing.

That YOU are changing!!
I work with and support women who not only want to treat their symptoms and feel better in midlife BUT who are ready to go on the journey that menopause is taking them on!
Who know that something deeper and more profound is happening and want to open the door to the opportunities and adventures that lie ahead!

If you want to know more then just DM me and we can start your menopause adventure today โ˜บ๏ธ
