The Experience of Inversions and Backbends Utilizing Props with Eyal Shifroni
Inversions and backbends are central components to the essence of Yoga and are some of the great gifts that Yoga offers.
In the workshop we'll explore the following words of B.K.S Iyengar:
Props help to perform the asanas with ease… The student understands and learns asana faster on props as the brain remains passive. Through passive brain one learns to be alert in body and mind. Props are guides to self-learning. They help accurately without mistakes… The props are meant to give a sense of direction, alignment and understanding of the asana.”

Eyal Shifroni, one of the most senior Iyengar Yoga teachers in Israel, has practiced Yoga since 1978 and has taught Iyengar Yoga since 1985. He directs the "Iyengar Yoga Center of Zichron-Ya'akov" in Israel and conducts Yoga workshops in Israel and around the world. Eyal also loves to trek, and directs annual Yoga-treks - workshops of Yoga combined with hikes and treks in the Indian Himalayas!
Eyal has written articles about the practice and the philosophy of Yoga.
