The proliferation of telehealth capabilities across the healthcare space over the past two years stands to change how patients receive care in addition to who can access it. By enabling patients to do physical therapy exactly where they are, at their convenience, physical therapists also benefit from the heightened ability to track and adjust for a patient’s progress in real-time, during real-life circumstances. 1.5M steps have been analyzed in the first year of OneStep's partnership with Kinomatic 🥳

"OneStep captures objective baseline and post-operative gait and motion data, demonstrating the impact of Kinomatic VR. Tech-plus-touch can radically improve the mobility and health status of seniors while increasing their emotional well-being and confidence. This, along with the ability to monitor functional mobility in real-time and identify changes early can greatly decrease the risk of falling and the number of adverse events."

OneStep's CEO, Tomer Shussman, sat down again with Karen Jagoda from the Empowered Patient Podcast to share what exciting launches have happened at OneStep this past year.

"The main things we've launched in the last year was first, a fall risk assessment model. We are now able to tell the user whether they are at a fall risk. I think we're the first ones in the world that have a model that works in the sense that we're not just telling you, 'Hey, you are at a high risk of falling,' but we're explaining to you, 'The system has recognized that some of your gait parameters have shifted in a way that is associated with a higher risk of falling. We see that you're taking 10% narrower steps and 15% shorter steps. You're spending a bit too much time on your left leg, and this all has been correlated with an increased fall risk.'

We have developed similar programs for amputees in the field of prosthetics, supporting the fine-tuning of the prosthetics and making sure they're fit properly. We've also worked on other use cases for upper body conditions and lower back pain, where providers use OneStep to help triage patients and understand which patients can be transitioned to remote care and which patients can't. These areas are what OneStep has been focused on in the last year."

Newsweek's latest article tells a powerful story:
Konstantyn Kopelyuk, a 23-year-old Ukrainian soldier, was injured by a missile in July and underwent a foot amputation. In partnership with OneStep, the Protez Foundation gave Kopelyuk a prosthetic replacement and around-the-clock gait monitoring to support him on his road to recovery.
We are honored to play a role in such meaningful work that is helping those impacted by limb loss regain mobility and move with confidence.
