One year ago, Sheba Beyond and the National Insurance Institute (המוסד לביטוח לאומי) Development Fund established the Back to Life Center, for those who returned to Israel from captivity, their families, and the families of deceased captives. Today, the center treats 195 patients in a pioneering model of transdisciplinary care that addresses body, mind and soul. Care is personalized, compassionate, holistic and long term.
Today, we hosted an intimate gathering of healthcare, operations, administrative and technology staff in order to celebrate the launch of our newly renovated home on the Sheba campus. This renovation was made possible by a generous donation of the The International Fellowship of Christians and Jews.
Congratulations to the center director Noya Shilo to partnering psychiatrists Dr. Michael Polliack and Dr. Nitza Nakash-Axelrod, to our legendary nurse case-manager Ira Feldman Oksner, to administrative lead Liron Wasserman Sinai Ben-Yehuda and Sheba Beyond COO Boris Fizdel.
Thank you to our dreamers who made the center a reality, Dr. Galia Barkai and Hadar Amir Magnezi. And of course to the National Insurance Institute for their strategic partnership.
May the center continue to deliver treatment and rehabilitation to those who need it most and may we see healing for all of Israel. 🙏
🎗️ On this day we also remember Ran Gvili, and pray that he will be returned home soon.
